After an exceptionally long day travelling I was greeted by an empty reception desk. When Geof the receptionist finally arrived he enquired with a yes whilst doing a quick reverse head nod. I told him I had a reservation and he responded by tapping his watch and informing me that there was another 15 minutes to check in time. Maybe it is a training issue or he thinks being unwelcoming is the new friendly. There were heating problems in the both rooms I was given after a total of 5 trips back and forth to reception over a period of 4 hours. The rooms were almost as cold as Geof, and the female manager's disinterest in my (dis)comfort, A younger receptionist, who changed the rooms and finally resolved the heating problem, thought it ok to store the money that he found that I left behind in error in room one in a linen storeroom so as not to disturb me.

Hotel's Favourite
Premier inns are always clean, tidy and a good price so I don't want to rewrite what I've written in the past but, what made this hotel stand out was the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. We arrived as a family party for a 90th birthday and we were treated with the utmost respect. in the evening we were delighted to be served in a fantastic friendly manner by three people in particular. Firstly Katie, a manager took time not only to ensure we were happy with everything but, was happy and bubbly having a chat and a laugh. Considering we had two 90 year olds in the party. This in particular made them feel at ease. Then we Had our server Adam. What a guy, full of fun but always on the ball and attentive. Finally Debbie, bar manager I think on our last night treating us as we would like to treat others and making sure that we were comfortable. Thanks folks you really made some old folks very happy. You all deserve promotion.

Booked a last minute stay on 5th November which had to be cancelled within an hour of booking it due to unforseen circumstances. As of today 28 November I have still NOT received my refund. In fairness the lad on the desk who I have dealt with has been great(sadly they can't do anymore) but head office are shocking!!!! They have ignored my emails so clearly they don't give 2 hoots whether you get a refund they are just modern day thieves!!!

Stayed here for two nights but never again the shower head was a disgrace with black and green mould that dropped in the bath and round the taps ughh!! so got in and out sharpish. See Photo. It should never have been allowed to get to this state, excuses were made at reception blaming it on new management(don't think so) repair men coming once a month etc etc.

This must be the worst Premium inn I’ve stayed at the windows looked like they’re not been cleaned since it was built there’s where stain’s on the carpet a hole in the door looks like it had been kicked in As for the breakfast the eggs were like plastic sausage undercooked and a lack of choice of food in the evening booked a roast dinner then told there was none left when arrived Nice building but not maintained very well
