Firstly DO NOT BE FOOLED by this casa being featured in the Lonely Planet Guide. My friend and I travelled all around West/Central Cuba for three weeks, staying in a number of Casa’s. Pitin & Juana’s Casa was without a doubt the WORST part of our entire trip and almost ruined our experience of Vinales which is a lovely place....

The hostess met us at the bus stop with a sign with our names which was about where the hospitality ended. She stormed off down the street with no introduction or explanation of what we were doing, which direction we were heading or how far we were walking. We arrived at the casa after a short but uncomfortably hot run/jog...

Sadly we booked this on the recommendation of Lonely Planet. They had accepted our booking by email but when we arrived did not have space for us so took us and our two teenage sons of us to 2 separate casas! They were rude and unwelcoming. However the casas they took us to were both fantastic, Casa Daisy and especially...

Our room was pleasant with a small ensuite. There was a tiny sitting area outside the room. They could have been more welcoming but the owner (?) warmed up after a while! We enjoyed drinks downstairs in the bar and ate dinner on two nights upstairs on the balcony. The food was prepared by the delightful older woman and was delicious....

We selected this casa as it has a wonderful comment in the lonely planet. Result was far from what was written in the guide. It is not a casa anymore, more like a hotel and the people there were absolutely unfriendly and almost impolite. The breakfast was (too) simple and expensive compared to what we had during our stay in...

Sadly we found this place to be a big disappointment as Vinales was, otherwise, one of the highlights of our trip to Cuba in February. I can only guess that they no longer need to try at the hostal, as they have been featured in the Lonely Planet Cuba for a number of years now. Anyway, we arrived to find...

Nice casa, delicious breakfast with fresh fruits, eggs, ham&cheese, freshly squeezed guava juice, coffee, etc. Our room was quite nice, with a double and a single bed. The owner could easily have been a bit more accommodating though, however we were more out and about than at the casa, so we didn't really care. The rest of the family were...

I'm from Cuba but I'm living in USA for 12 years now and I love Viñales. This is the place I had always stayed. I like the rooms and the food is excellent. I recommend this place to everyone. I also enjoyed go to Cayo Jutias a good beach 50 miles from the town.

We stayed at this Casa last year and had an amazing experience! The family was friendly and the meals they prepared were so generous in portion and totally delicious! We stayed in one of the rooms on top and were pleasantly surprised to have our own outdoor living room! The view was amazing!! I cannot remember if there were toilet...

Food below standard, missing toilet seats, tiny rooms, towels only per request and the feeling that you should buy tours or other stuff there all the time. But the highlight is the incredibly rude owner who just gives you the feeling you bother her by staying and spending money there, never smiles, and told our friends that they need to...
