Bertha has been very nice and helpful.. Room is clean & cozy. She provides water. I really like the interior design and the garden. However garden can't be enjoyed because there are TONS of Mosquitoes (I think because of the "mangroves" in front of the rooms which is very very dirty ... Even the water is red, it's a nest...

The hotel is nice and cozy, very cute and perfect for couples, but not at all for friends or family. Staff at welcome is friendly but then is hard to find anyone around. Poor breakfast, not worth at all. Wi-Fi just gets to the ground floor and not to the upper ones, where my room was. The worst is the...

I stayed here for 3 nights with my girlfriend in the agua room in the main building. The hotel is very lovely, picturesque and secluded with a private beach. Everything was as we needed. The room was very spacious and nice. The bathroom has very nice fixtures with a cool shower. Although it was tricky to get the right balance...

Very good experience staying at Casa Takywara. The Proprietor, Bertha, was very helpful with every aspect of my stay. She and Jose greeted me upon my late evening arrival (past 7:00 or 8:00 p.m. Made sure I was comfortable and presented me with a welcome beverage. During the stay, I had numerous questions and Bertha was always so very helpful...

We just returned from a 2 week stay at this AMAZING hotel. Every little detail has been carefully thought out from the organic toiletries to the delicious hand delivered breakfast every day. The location couldn't be more ideal. Takywara is located about a 10 minute walk from town via the beach or back roads. It is on a quite secluded...

We have stayed in this hotel 4 nights in the begging of September in a bungalow on the beach.. For me the best placement on the island!! You wake up and you go directly to the water (clean and hot) , you have the sea just in front .. Then you eat your breakfast on your terrace that is offered...

Whole our stay were so great. If you're looking for something super fancy then not but the Isla Hotbox itself is not the island where you should not expect that but more to enjoy the slow time and the nature. And this hotel is so great, place in front of the little beach so quiet but nothing could be far...

We took the two rooms on the second floor. Very comfortable clean and quiet. Reasonable prices and accommodating. Would repeat. The first floor rooms are less private but still very nice with a beautiful garden. Simple breakfast provided. Also it is at the quieter end of the town.
