Booked through our Accor vacation club membership..so glad we did. What a tranquil destination... peaceful yet so much to do. Went with another couple and tried to fit in as many cellar doors as possible with some cheese and chocolate and art gallery in the mix. Used the great kitchen facilities and bbq at the apartments. Guys at reception very... More

Last visited and stayed/played for a fund raiser. This time purely for pleasure. Top floor 2 bedroom apartment had a nice view over the golf course. Apartment lacked nothing, plenty of crockery, glasses etc. Hair dryer missing from the second bathroom, but reception delivered one promptly. Main bedroom has tv, not in the 2nd. Pool in centre of apartment complex.... More

A beautiful quiet part of the Hunter Valley. We stayed 5 nights and had a really nice relaxing time (a couple's getaway). This is the second time we've stayed at the Grand Mercure (last time was over 6 years ago). Excellent staff and service. Free WiFi (with generous download limit). Well maintained rooms and facilities. We played tennis across the... More

The place is very nice, very quiet. We were there for 2 nights. Check-in was painless and no drama. The rooms are nice and clean. The kitchen is also good with an 8 seater dining table. There were 2 flat screen tv's, 1 in the master bedroom and 1 in the lounge. There is also free wi-fi. If you need... More

Fabulous spacious accommodation. The kitchens are extremely well kitted out with large square dining tables. 2 bedrooms with 2 full size bathrooms (each bathroom has sunk in bath and separate shower). Utility room. Electric log effect fires. 2 large balconies (one with sunbeds and another with dining table). Garage for your car. Views of roos across the golf course. 2... More

You can always relay on the quality of the venue and warm welcome upon arrival. The décor is warm and comfortable with the fire place a nice touch for a wintery ambience. The bath is fabulous for a long soak unless you prefer the heated pool nearby. Basic kitchenette does the trick.

We recently spent 5 nights at this delightful resort in a one bedroom apartment. It was spacious, with its own lock up garage entry into the apartment, beautifully appointed and decorated and we had a nice garden area. The bed was very comfortable. When we visited it was pretty cold and we had the fire on every evening and very... More

Hi Chumpies, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay. It is unfortunate to hear that the bed in your unit was uncomfortable. The beds throughout the property were replace only 3 years ago, so they certainly should still have a lot of life left in them. If you could please let me know which... More

The area is so lovely and peaceful. Well not while we were there - but it is really nice. Easy access to restaurant and bars. Golf across the road. Close to day on the green too. Would definitely come again. Bit pricey though.

Pros & What I Enjoyed Reservations: I booked on-line from the website which was simple to use. Access: Website provided GPS coordinates but it was easy to find on a straight road and sufficient signage and just after Bimbadgen Estate. Check-in: Quick and hassle-free. Payment is made when you check-in. We were warmly welcomed by Daniel (?), given the keys... More
