The staff were awesome and welcoming. Offered help with the Tongariro Crossing planning and shuttle booking. Really good camp to stay if you are planning to hike in the park. Keep in mind to bring your own kitchenware; they only have a functioning kitchen (fridges, oven etc...) but only with pots and cutting table, you have to bring everything else!...

We stayed in one of the self contained units for two nights. The cabin is clean, toasty warm, and contains everything a couple would need for a couple of days stay. There is a comfortable king size bed, a small kitchen area with pots, pans and utensils, fresh towels and clean and cosy bathroom with shower. The owners Greg and...

We had one of our best stays on this campground. The facilities and the kitchen are in a very good condition. They are renovated currently. The host was the friendliest host we met on our Tour.. He helped us with the organization of the Tongariro-crossing and with some other stuff. We really can recommend this beautiful place.

We have stayed here several times over the years. Great place to stay. Clean and tidy, with very nice staff. Not a brand new place, but upgrades are in hand.( like new showers, which are great and a roof in front of kitchen for outdoor eating and barbequing). Cheers

In order to make the crossing the following morning at 7:00 we chose to stay at this Holiday Park. People were very nice and facilities were clean but at a $50 cost for 2, we felt that the $$ were a wee steep for the services. The next night we stayed at the DOC for a third of the price...

We stayed here the night before the TAC, the lady on the front desk gave me a warm friendly welcome, and booked me onto the shuttle for the following day ($35). The camper van space we had was a generous size in a calm and tranquil spot. The facilities are clean, but as expected can get busy at 'rush hour'.

When we arrived I found I'd stuffed up our booking for a cabin (incorrectly assumed it would be self-contained) but the lady at reception was understanding of our plight and volunteered to refund our deposit. So, although we didn't stay here, I'd like to recognise the good service we received.

We stayed for 2 nights in a 6 person cabin and was very impressed. The cabins were basic but clean, smelled fine, and a mattress protector and pillows were provided. There was a heater in the room if needed. Everyone at the park was friendly and there were new and excellent clean kitchens with gas. The bathrooms were also in...
