We stayed for one night on the way up the country. The rooms were basic but common areas were great - big lounge area, football table, spa pool and awesome kitchen facilities. No ladders to top bunks so we had to pull mattresses down onto the floor but the owners say they are gradually upgrading all of their bunks. Owners...

The owners are very friendly and helpful. The common area has nice couches and a fireplace as well as billiard and other fun stuff. Room was extremely clean and super nice. One of the better places I stayed in. Had the breakfast which was also good.

The staff are great. Table tennis table killed time and the lounge area was also chilled for some decent down time. Kitchen with most amenities (for some reason no frying pans but shallow sauce pans instead?) everybody did a great job keeping it clean and lots of fridge space too! Constant free coffee and tea which was kept well topped...

We booked on route from Wellington to Rotorua. The rooms were basic but clean. No frills but it's cheap! Our double bed was small but comfy. Bunk beds mattresses need replacing. Would recommend and we would go again.

Very basic accommodations. A small room with only 2 bunk beds no other furnishings. Single outlet & 1 ceiling light (which made room pretty dark due to size of room & the bunk beds which took up 90% of room. Dorm showers were newer, but no towels or bar/liquid soap. Free 500 MB wifi, but only for 1 device per...

Great spot. Just like coming home in the evenings after a long day out. The hosts are wonderful people and always on-site to greet you and offer you a free coffee/tea and are all too happy to stop and chat about anything you like. You can then head off to the hot spas to relax the body. There is a...

This is a nice place to base yourself for the Tongariro...I got unlucky with the weather, but the owners were nice and helpful advising of hikes that were possible... Breakfast was good, and the room was comfortable. I'd stay again if I was in the area again...

This ski lodge isn't the fanciest in the world, but it gets the job done: clean room, quiet common space, friendly staff, etc. They provide transportation to and from the Tongariro Crossing for a charge, which is necessary as the trail isn't a loop. However, I'd suggest passing on the optional breakfast. It's ten dollars I believe, but it wasn't...

Hi Jacob , thank you for staying with us. Your $10 breakfast was the continental option of cereal/fruit/yogurt/ toast/juice/tea/coffee. Was a shame you didn't enjoy it. Sorry for that.
