Spent 2 nights here, basic but comfortable, all our needs were met and enjoyed the simplicity, and provides options if you are feeling energetic, and options, if you simply want to do nothing and recharge your batteries. The view is spectacular, and on the second evening we were treated to an electric storm which was like watching a sound and...

A true getaway faraway in the heart of the stunning Simonskloof. Nice hikes, mountain views, braai fires and a bath tibe with the best of views. A definity place to explore if you are in for a weekend off the beaten track.

We had a fantastic time - our cottage was in an incredible location and provided everything you needed - An absolute Gem! It was obvious that the owners had taken a great deal of time and energy on making it a very special place indeed. We will definitely be back!

We first went to Simonskloof with the kids and our two dogs about 11 years ago. The experience then was, well, to say the least: amazing! A slice of heaven! Naturally, with a special anniversary in mind, Simonskloof was a natural choice. This time accompanied by three dogs (sadly only one made the second trip to that particular slice of...

The property with two cottages is at the end of the road, secluded and off the grid. If solar power and soft candle light equals charm and romance, Simonskloof offers it all. For cold nights a woodstove adds further atmosphere. Nature is all around in beautiful views, quietness and visitors are encouraged to support the organic lifestyle of the owners....

If you need complete peace and quiet, this is the place to go. No cell reception, no electricity... only you and nature. There are hot water and paraffin lamps and candles, and a gas powered fridge. I stayed in Orange Cottage and it was amazing. Experienced a full on storm, and was very grateful for the indoor stove. Everything was...

I highly recommend Simonskloof. I have been here a couple of times and I just love it; the nature and surroundings are absolutely beautiful and it is so silent and peaceful.. The hosts and facilitates are great and everything is well and (enviromentally) consciously taken care of..

We've stayed in the cottages and we've camped here. Both options are amazing. Concious Karoo living. Solar powered cottage (with gas back up for those darker days). Amazing vistas. Sit back, relax and enjoy!

Beautiful, minimalist conscious environment. Innovative ideas about camping and respect for environment. Children had a blast abseiling, walking and riding. The Nuy river gorge is meant to be special. We will do the kloofing next time.

We spent two super serene, relaxed and happy days in Simonskloof over the Easter holidays. The cottages are very basic, but cute and have the essentials you need for a few days without distracting you from what Simonskloof really has to offer, and that's food for the soul. The views all around are breathtaking, the stillness is so calming, the...
