Our reception on arrival could not have been any less welcoming. An older Afrikaner ‘gentleman’ (who was also present at breakfast) stood outside the door of property watching us struggle with luggage not only failing to arrange assistance for us, but rudely ignoring us when we greeted him. Our room was not ready so we left our luggage and went...

We organised a road trip through the Wine Lands from the UK. There were 3 couples, 2 of whom had stayed here before and wanted to revisit as the food at the Mimosa Lodge is exceptional. We were not disappointed - it was as good if not better than before. We stayed in 3 new rooms at the back of...

Wonderful room with views of the gardens and mountains. Breakfasts and dinners were excellent . Staff were very good ,particularly the manager. Also good to meet the owner after dinner on the second night. One bad point was the swimming pool - unappealing and looked scruffy. It let down the whole appearance of the garden.

Our 3rd time back to Mimosa Lodge. Facilitated at early check in for us (2hrs early) as we had a 3yr old with us. Friendly staff, great restaurant, good food. Only criticism, gardens could do with a bit more love and attention.

We had a stop-over at the Momosa Lodge in Montagu while traveling with family. Had a very good stay there. The pool temperature was perfect on this hot afternoon and the following morning. Dinner and Breakfast was outstanding.

We stayed here for two nights on our way back to Cape Town. We have been before, and previously stayed in the main house, ground floor at the front of the hotel. That room has now been knocked into the restaurant to extend those facilities. This time we were in the garden, room 5. The room is long and narrow...

Overnight stay so booked in for the wine and dine menu in the restaurant for dinner. Wow! Four excellent courses with paired wines. The food was possibly the best we have had in SA after seven weeks of touring. The rooms are satisfactory and certainly fine for an overnight stop. We were in the building across the road to the...

Pleasant overnight stay. Courteous staff, room was beautifully furnished nd comfortable although no air-conditioning which didn't seem to matter. We declined the offer of dinner although very satisfied with the recommendation of The Old Tavern. Breakfast very good.

Have stayed before and really happy but this time the rubbish bin in the bathroom had not been cleared from the previous guest. When I reported it at reception the reply was "oh thank you for telling us". How about an apology? Do not expect that level of service in an establishment of that quality.

We loved this quaint beautiful Lodge, It was quirky and the bedroom was quiet and very relaxing. We regret that we had only booked one night here but had an experience of a lifetime with the wine and dine evening starting with drinks in the wonderful gardens. A delicious meal of local food and amazing wines. This wine and dine...
