My wife and I stayed here for one night. It doesn't look much from the outside if you are used to City Hotels but it is a gem of a place. We stayed in a cottage surrounded by a lovely garden. The room was very large with a very high ceiling. It had real character. Bathroom was good with a...

We stayed here for a couple of nights. We got a room across the main hotel which had no a/c and was super hot and as situated on street level so we couldn't really keep windows open. To pricey for what ge got. Food on the other hand was great thanks to the Swiss chef! Montagu itself is not too...

We stayed here for one night in December. The food is excellent and good value. The room we were given, however, number 9 was not so great. It was small and basic. The dividing wall between the bedroom and the bathroom is perspex and see through - not the greatest idea ever! The shower in the bathroom does not have...

On arrival at the Lodge we found that we had no booking, in spite of having an e-mail confirmation. There had been some "glitch" between the Nightsbridge internet booking system which led to a deposit not being taken after credit card details were supplied. The owners were most apologetic, arranged alternative accommodation nearby and gave us a significant discount on...

We stayed one night at Mimosa Lodge between 20-21 of November 2014, travelling around in South-Africa - as a part of a Swedish group of 28 people. My wife and I have been travelling a lot during the years; however - this was our first visit to this part of the world: And we were very surprised and satisfied by...

Montagu is a lovely getaway - whether you want to go wine tasting, hiking or just have a relaxed weekend away from city life. The best stay for us is by far Mimosa Lodge with its relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff and divine food: the breakfast buffet is amazing and the dinner is by far one of the best one can...

After staying in Cape Town and Francshoek we came down to earth here, barn style, tin roofers, noisy, creaky barn, musty smell, dirty pool, need I go on! Definitely no where near 4 star, no fridge, no wifi, no tv and miserable host

We had a wonderful welcome from Bernie and were shown to a small but very comfortable room. However, the best was yet to come! We had a welcome drink In the shady gardens, followed by a five course feast accompanied by five quality Mimosa wines. If you are in the area, this is one experience you have to try.

Everything was good. The rooms were good. The food was fantastic!!! But it was Bernie's attention to detail and absolutely fantastic attitude that made our stay spectacular!!! When you make a booking, make sure to ask for Bernie to be on duty.
