Stay here only if you are on budget but want to be near the beach. Even so, lower your expectation. It is no where near the standard of normal budget guesthouses for the same price in Malaysia. Everything is old and run-down (clean and no smell, though), the bed, the wardrobe are like from 20 years ago. I stayed in...

Booked via Agoda, check in was a breeze. Check in is at 12.30pm and a RM20 deposit is collected. Check out is at 12 noon. The place is really simple, basic, no frills but the location is superb - just like 1 minute from the beach! I kid you not! It's also close to the bus stops, taxis, night market,...

We are budget travelers and stayed here for three nights. PROS - Room was surprisingly spacious. Clean and comfortable with two twin beds and a desk. - Wifi was great, and reached into the room. - AC was strong. Almost too strong, really. The first night we were freezing until we figured out how to adjust it down a little...

The owners of this guesthouse were super helpful and friendly! The beach is literally right across the street, which is exactly what we wanted. The rooms are rustic (like a camp cabin), but our expectations weren't high. My biggest complaint about this hostel was the noise. The hostel is right beside a mosque that has a call to prayer at...

This is a home with people living their daily lives in it and you as a guest see them going about their lives, the Malaysian way. So if you are the type looking for a closer experience of the local life, you hit the jackpot. This is not a place for those who wants privacy or luxurious lodging. I had...

The owners are what makes this guesthouse a success. They were very kind and helpful. The Laundry service lost one of our items and the owner got them to mail the garment to us in South Africa! The room is good with a functioning air con and Hot water. Very good restaurants are situated very close to the Guest house...

As other people have said, they send us detailed instructions of various ways to get to the house and approx prices of various...

If you are really into the beach, this is the place for you. But honestly speaking this beach aint nothing to shout about. Head over to penang national park 's monkey beach instead where it's substantially clearer and relatively unmarred by human activities. In this case, it's also nearer than staying at Georgetown. There's also some beach sports activities along...
