The worst among all 2 star hotel I have seen. Toilet bowl is dirty. Fungus growing around the outside. Toilet door rotten. Dust sitting on tv shelf(God knows when it was last cleaned). No ironing facilities. No breakfast. Making matters worst..a construction site nearby. Tv only showing local channels (no Astro). Better hotels around Georgetown. No teaspoon even, forget about...

A budget hotel with basic facilities. The hotel is old and rooms are small. Near by to ferrenghi beach. Lot of eating places around . No restaurant facilities . I would recommend it for only one night stay

Came here with my boyfriend after a horrible surprise in another cheap hotel. Really friendly staff, helpful and smiley. Room are clean and spacious. Good location. It's not right on the beach but the walk to it is only 5 min away. And 2 mins away from the night market. Will definitely recommend it and come again.

More than what I expected of a 2-star hotel. Hotel felt secured. Room size, you get what you paid for. Most importantly, beds are comfortable and both room & toilet are clean. We were pleasantly surprised that breakfast was provided at a small pantry area that they have. Even though it's quite basic - a choice of fried meehoon, fried...

My partner and I were travelling around Malaysia and decided on 3 nights in Pulau Penang. As we were arriving on Chinese New Year (not the best day to travel!) during the holiday period we didn't have as much choice of accommodation as usual, or for as cheap as usual, but we ended up very pleased with the EQ Ferringhi....

the place is nice and clean. they service/tidy up the room every morning though not putting the sign :) ... the free breakfast is acceptable considering the price paid for... however, it would have been great if they open up their cafe the rest of the day (and not only breakfast) and serve coffee anytime of the day for guests...
