we stayed in the premium suite for two nights but wished we had booked for longer. room was perfect with a separate tv/lounge room which we used for our baby's cot. room was very clean and modern - no complaints. room service, housekeeping, restaurant and frontdesk staff were all very pleasant and helpful. I'll definitely be back!

Stayed for 1 night though but i wish i can stay longer, it was just a quick getaway, it is a very nice hotel, couldn't ask for more, staff, facilities, breakfast buffet, location... Everything superb, the breakfast buffet really nice, the room with a bath tub at the balcony, like the facilities, nice decoration.

We went to Penang for a holiday with relaxation as our main focus. Below points helped us to reach our basic purpose of travel. 1) We requested for an early check-in as our flight was to reach way ahead of the Lone Pine's check-in time. Though they didn't promise , but when we reached, we were delighted to know that...

Stayed there for 2 nights and as they mentioned being awarded 5 star we expected 5 star service and hospitality but that wasn't the case. The guy at check in was not very friendly/helpful as we did not know standard check in was 3pm he did not even try to give us a room and just told us 3pm is...

I was interested to stay in this hotel since back to my hometown. So I called the reservation to enquire about it last Tuesday. The reservation agent who answered seem don't have any idea however she took my number and informed that they will call me back regarding my enquiry. Until now, no news from the hotel, I think this...

This time when I scouted around for a hotel that would fit a large group...

Fully refurbished a couple of years back, this hotel is perfectly located. Once inside the hotel you don't feel any of the hustle and bustle outside. Great pool and well equipped large modern rooms. Unfortunately we found the food all a bit too bland and the service was very slow but the moment you step outside of the hotel gates...

I enjoy mid century and colonial architecture, so this was the place for me. A friend suggested this hotel after a recent stay and I'm glad he did. I took a cab directly from Penang airport for a set rate of 74MR, which was reasonable for the 45 minute drive. Reception was welcoming and I received a cold towel and...

We stayed nearby but looked in on the Lone Pine after staying at their sister hotel in Georgetown, The Eastern and Oriental. We weren't too impressed with the hotel itself but ate at their Japanese restaurant, Matsu on two occaisions. The first time we were the only guests. The menu is excellent - large selection of sushi and sashimi along...

Within weeks of opening this hotel was already looking tired. I actually preferred it before the lengthy upgrade! The food at the buffet is mediocre despite the presence of Chef Fatt, who was great at the E&O. The staff at the bar are, at best, of average ability. The best aspect of the hotel was meeting Khoo, one of the...
