We rented a very spartan, small room near the road. Saying this the room was very average but OK for the price.
The grounds have aged and don't sparkle like in these photos. The place has not been kept up now that we've seen it....More
We stayed in the Toucan room on the 2nd level. Our stay was from March 18-26. Plus is the easy access to the beautiful beach...a 30 second walk cutting across the Jaguar Reef property. Laundry facilities are onsite. To get into town, you can easily...More
The staff were so friendly and the breakfasts were fantastic. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay there. We have been there twice now. Traveler's from all over stay here and it is close to the beaches. Nice pool in the back where kids...More
Caribbean Shores proved to be a great place for us first timers to Hopkins. The staff was both friendly and attentive to our needs. Each morning we were fortified with a great breakfast prepared by Carla.
I liked that we could pull our rental jeep right up to our front door.Lots of restaurants and bars close by. Short walk to beach through Jaguar Reef Resort.Nice room and liked the views from the common room area.Nice pool area also.

There was a guy at the airport that drove us. It's not a real taxi like you know in the states, but it's a guy with a car. It cost $ 50. We were supposed to have a rental dropped off, but our flight was late so the car service did not bring it.
The bigger resorts had their own shuttles pick them up.
When are you going and have you checked out any other places to stay in hopkins?

No, it is not free. You can rent a car near the International airport where you fly into or hire a shuttle service , I can't give you the line to the one I use, Trip advisor blocks but google discounted belize shuttles and tours and you will find it. This is one we have used for many guests and they have been very happy with it
Or you can take a domestic flight via Tropic Air to the Dangriga airport and either we can arrange transport or you can take a taxi from there. Not sure how much the shuttle is, it depends on how many people for each trip. For us to arrange or to get a taxi from Dangriga to Hopkins is $90 to $120 round trip. Let me know if I can help with anything else.

Sorry I missed this question!! We can get you a rate under $100 per night, $80 for a nice room, queen bed, fridge, a/c, cable, wifi and private bath. This rate includes breakfast (taxes are additional). Breakfasts are different every day. WE try to serve a variety of items due to the many different diets out there. We always have coffee/tea and fruit juices. Fresh fruit, yogurt and bakery items (fresh banana bread, cinnamon cake, and more), then we add eggs/pancakes/french toast, bacon or sausage, sometimes ham or crispy fried potatoes. Always something good! Hope to see you.
