In other place in Costa Rica you would get a lot more for 20 dollars a night. I didn't have a lot of options, and you got used to the standard after a night there, but wouldn't recommend it. The rooms were dirty, the walls, sheets, floors. The toilets weren't working like 2 times a day. The showers were really...

Great location, amazing vibe, we met great travelers, nice clean pool... different type of room available, the cabinas are really nice, the dorms a little loud, and not as comfortable. The common areas are great, hammocks, big kitchens, tables, couches, bar, all this is great. The atmosphere there is very cool and I would return there for sure.

Good place made special by new owners who care about your stay. I was given really important and much needed advice for the next part of my trip. Felt relaxed and very happy with the amenities and especially enjoyed mixed nationality travellers dinners around a table good for ten..great place for solo travellers ..

The hostel was nice, good position close to the beach Playa Carmen and the biggest supermarket in town, lovely garden, staff was friendly and the room was a nice bungalow which I really like it. But to be honest I have to say that there was a fault: kitchen was really neglected and dirty and the equipment was "well used", which...

The very nice owners of the hostel let me stay there for free and I could use their laptop and phone to organize everything. Super nice! I also liked the common area with swimming pool, hammocks and pool table. Its also close to the beach...

Had a great time here, stayed with my girlfriend and another couple, the vibe was very relaxed and chill. It was nice to take a break from all the activities and listen to reggae by the pool. The staff was very helpful and you can tell they love their jobs. There is also a soda right down the street that...

Great place in Santa Teresa with large pool and outside chill area. Perfect for travellers on a budget. When we stayed there, the staff were very fun and did anything to help you out. There is a big kitchen with large barbecue, stove and fridge; also a large seating/eating/drinking area. Pool is fantastic to cool off from the Costa Rica...

Arrived about 30 mins before restaurant got busier (not full) and think that was good luck as we got good service for main part of our meal, after that it was much harder to get anyone's attention. Shared a lovely fish and had two deserts. Would recommend but probably need reservation and some patience.

"Pura Vida MINI Hostel Santa Teresa" is a super chill hostel close to the best surf beaches and commercial center, with swimming pool, lot of nature, wildlife and good vibes. We have 2 communal kitchens very equipped, 3 large fridges and a beautiful chill out area with a fantastic swimming pool, pool table and hammocks, all you need to have a great time after a good surfing day. We have different types of rooms, with private or shared bathroom, rustic bungalows and dorms. Rooms are being cleaned daily and we are very particular and meticulous about the cleanliness of our hostel and the common areas. We have excellent location in the heart of Santa Teresa, only 150 meters from the surf break and the beautiful beach. 30 seconds walking distance to the nearest super market, shops, bars and restaurants, and 300 meters from the only pharmacy and 2 banks in town. But away from all the dust, hassle and bustle of this little town in our own private sanctuary with a lot of trees and nature. If you don't want to go out of the hostel, you can spend good times on our very cool bar, drinking excellent shakes, cocktails and beers. We also rent surf boards for all levels and ages, advising you what board to choose in case you are starting to surf. We have happy and always smiling, bi-lingual staff that has a good knowledge of the local area, tours, shuttles, and of Costa Rica. We can help you arrange all your activities, your next hostel stays, better tours and secret places of Costa Rica.
