Visited today, basically to "check it out" so went and searched for it on my bicycle...It was amazingly quiet, only one or two young staff here and there, no guests...! Enquiring if they were open (yes!) I then decided to take a "light lunch" and requested a combination of two of the entrees - would the kitchen create it? Also... More

We had lunch here one day in February. The setting of the restaurant is quite beautiful overlooking the mountains and a small pool. It looked to us that the restaurant is housed in the original hacienda of the owners. One of us had the chuleta malbec which was excellent - indeed rated as one of the top two meals in... More

We were in Panama last week and staying at a villa in Buenaventura. We had heard from some colleagues about the wonderful food and service at La Casa de Lourdes and drove all the way (about 1 hour each way over winding roads) from our resort to the restaurant. The food and service were worth the drive. We had a... More

We were staying at the nearby Hotel Los Mandarinos and went to the restaurant La Casa de Lourdes. There were 16 of us, 8 "couples". The wait staff was very efficient, service was great, the food excellent, and all of us got our separate checks. The atmosphere was very nice. The prices were a little high for the area, but... My wife and I ate her for dinner and when I got back to Vancouver I noticed that they charged me twice for dinner. The exact same amount on the same day that we ate there. Food was good and the service was great but if you get double charged on your Visa, I'm not sure it's worth the visit...

Don't know about the rooms, but had a great lunch here. A great recommendation from a local guide book. Beautiful location over looking El Valle. The open restaurant was in a high vaulted colonnade over looking the Romanesque pool and grounds. Friendly service, if a bit leisurely; regional menu choices; tasty food, well presented. Excellent value.

The establishment is very poorly equipped for guest stay. The owner is haughty and indiscrete. She told us while making the booking, that she charges extra USD 20/ day/child for children as they waste too much breakfast. During the second day of our stay she wanted to check if we had taken away her Burberry Towels. Providing a dinner table... More

This is a beautiful small boutique hotel, with a larger hotel next door, which belongs to the owner's brother. It is spotless, and the food is sublime. Well worth a trip to El Valle. It has become a landmark, no trip to Panama is complete without stopping at La Casa de Lourdes. The owner is always there, checking that everything... More

If you are looking for a nice restaurant during your stay in El Valle, definitely check out La Casa de Lourdes. It was great service, food and atmosphere! Also great value for money. Our meal was cheap considering the quality of food, etc. It's also in a beautiful setting with the feel of a Tuscan villa!

Enjoyed my stay. I stumbled upon La Casa de Lourdes after driving up to El Valle de Anton from the beach. I loved the Italian villa styling. A quaint relaxing place with a restaurant on the premises that served me up some fantastic cuisine. I also really like the climate in El Valle. Very pleasant. A good place to cool... More

“There are suites, and three categories of other rooms with double, queen and king size beds very spacious (the suite with a shower that could comfortably hold 4-5 persons! ) pleasantly decorated with a minimum of 'decor' and unnecessary items. Rates very upmarket for Panama but reasonable for this category 'hotel' Certain category rooms have certain views, Pool, gardens, balcony - depending on how much you wish to pay...all quiet and sedate...well, at least whilst I visited!”
