I visited Santorini in mid-late October. I stayed at Villa Ilias and it exceeded my expectations. Not only was I blown away by the beauty and originality of the island, but also by this hotel. We were treated as if we were family by the owners. Even on our last day after check out, they kept our bags locked safely...

I spent a week here in June/July and loved every minute. My standard room upstairs had large double windows that opened to a spectacular side view of the caldera, over Firostefani/Fira and across to the Aegean on the other side of the island. All staff are very welcoming, the home cooked breakfast is great and everything is spotlessly clean. The...

This hotel was such a pleasant surprise and way beyond our expectations. The room was a modest size but seemed to have been renovated recently and was very clean--cleaners came in each day and did a very good job. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the wifi was fast. And the view!!! OH, you cannot beat this view. Being in...

Just returned from Santorini having spent 6 nights at the Villa Ilias- our second time staying at this lovely hotel. The location is second to none as it is in a peaceful area with an amazing view over the Caldera but just a short stroll into lively Fira. The hotel is very comfortable and is kept immaculately clean by the...

This is a solid budget hotel at somewhat inflated prices, due to its excellent location on the caldera. Our room (#7) was extremely small but very clean and well-kept with modern furnishings. Technically it was a caldera view room but really it was a view of the pool and terrace umbrellas with some water beyond. Because it opened up directly...

This is our 5th time to Santorini and villa ilias is one of the best spots on the island. We stayed for two weeks in one of their lovely cave houses. The terrace is a great sun trap but had no problem sleeping due to the all day cool cave. There are two cave houses set about 2 minutes walk...

Villa Ilias is a very nice hotel made even more special by owners Pauline and George, two of the most gracious hosts we have ever met. It didn't have to turn out this way. We made a sudden decision at the last minute to return to Santorini at the end of our Greek island tour and at the end of...

We went to stay here for 3 days and it was the best trip in so far I had travelled. Convenient, with supermarket, gelato shops and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was not bad, and the view was fantastic. We chose the one with the caldera view and it was worth the price. Got to see the one of the best sunsets...
