We personally never went to any beaches close to the Attiki. Elli beach is 20 minutes walk per Google maps and Zephyros beach is 35 minutes walk. They don't look too appealing. There are beautiful beaches in Rhodes; we... More
We personally never went to any beaches close to the Attiki. Elli beach is 20 minutes walk per Google maps and Zephyros beach is 35 minutes walk. They don't look too appealing. There are beautiful beaches in Rhodes; we especially remember Anthony Quinn Bay (25 min drive) where we did go swimming. There are very sandy beaches way to the sparsely populated south, Your best bet would be to ask the proprietress, Mara. She will give you an honest answer.
