At the Northern tip of the island of Rhodes, an old house lies peacefully through the centuries. Built in 1730, Casa Antica is a landmark building in the center of Rhodes city, placed in a quiet and picturesque pedestrian street in the traditional neighborhood of Niohori. Back in 1800s, it originally housed the French consulate of the island. Used as a guest house since 1998, it was fully renovated in 2009 with absolute respect to tradition, history and under the strict supervision of the local Archaeological authorities. With seven independent apartments only, all different among them, our hotel guests are welcomed as friends and are treated with care and flair. All apartments are equipped with COCO-MAT ecological furniture, mattresses and linen, supreme quality amenities and other modern comforts that enable you to enjoy all the comforts of a modern holiday accommodation combined with simplicity and tranquility. But above all, Casa Antica is a home. Your home in Rhodes. This is where your apartment is, your courtyard, your terrace, and Marouska... your cat. A home with its history, our history, your history...hidden from the crowds in its quiet, peaceful alley where you can feel relaxed and blissful. So old and quiet and yet so close where everything happens. Elli beach, the Aquarium, Mandraki harbor, the Medieval Town of Rhodes and many more, all in walking distance for you to explore.

Lovely building in such a peaceful, pretty street. Conveniently only minutes from bars and popular restaurants. An enjoyable short walk to beaches in one direction or the harbour, new and old towns in the other. We stayed in Klimt which has a small but perfectly formed kitchenette and bathroom, a private terrace (adjacent to the communal if you wanted a bit more room) for al fresco breakfasts etc. The living/ bedroom was spacious and comfortable. Large, comfortable bed, plenty of storage for 2 and a seating area with flatscreen TV if you wanted it. Double aspect windows with quaint shutters (great to also find a proper, powerful hair drier in the room as I have long, thick hair and most hotel driers are useless) Special touches were the generous welcome pack in the kitchen including crackers, honey, jam, as well as a good choice of tea and coffee for your arrival. Always plenty of clean towels as well as slippers for you in the bathroom. Met on arrival for easy check in and hosts available to contact if you needed anything. Room kept discretely cleaned and perfectly kept on a daily basis. Would recommend to anyone who does not want a run of the mill characterless block of a hotel room. This hotel was quaint, quirky and very homely. Would stay no-where else if I returned to Rhodes. Se efcharistó pára polý Casa Antica xx

I've been there twice this summer but 4 times in total. This place is becoming my home in Rhodes, every time I go on a business trip or vacation. I can tell it was the best place to stay and combine work and rest. Very quiet and peaceful location, walking distance from old town and the beach. Clean and comfie rooms, as I have stayed In Klimt, and Picasso rooms. I have to mention especially about the sleep , because is my main issue usually, (as I have sleeping problems), I have had the best sleep on the ccomat mattresses and clean sheets, and of course quiet street!!! Highlights, the cats, the nice balcony, and the long evening walks ! Excellent service and amazing hosting....like being home. Beautiful smiles and lovely souls! Recommended 100%.

From the first contact, on the phone, Athena was welcoming and caring. Here, Athena makes sure you feel right at home. The interior and exterior decoration will delight you, the rooms (we were in the Modigliani room) are large and comfortable, even providing you with a small kitchen area (where we took our breakfasts). Note an interior courtyard and a terrace accessible to all. Note also the calm of this place ideally located in a charming pedestrian street. Should you have any questions, Athena has the answers: restaurants, excursions, transportation, etc. She was very responsive. For completeness, let's mention the discreet but efficient presence of Christo, Athena's husband, and the lovely housekeeper (sorry, we don't know her first name ... Athena please help us!) A major argument to come back, added to the beauty of Rhodes ...
