The joy of this piece of heaven starts as the lobby staff run out to greet you and unload the luggage, as the car pulls up. A welcoming drink awaits and of course your room is always ready - none of that 'check in is at 3 pm nonsense here - check in is when you get there. A great...

My husband and I just returned from a two week Italian vacation and our night at Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel & Spa was the highlight of our trip. This hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is intent on creating an extraordinary experience for you. The views, the rooms, the linens, the food, the staff, the infinity pool, the spa...

Upon entering this 17th marvel, we were offered a glass of fresh lemonade made from the lemons of the many trees on the property and lead to a terrace literally hanging over the cliffs of the Amalfi coast! The staff were friendly and helpful, and you literally enter another world when you walk the halls of this extraordinary place. Beauty,...

Had the pleasure of staying in this gorgeous hotel (so much more than a hotel...it was an experience) in may of 2017 with my boyfriend. It was nothing short of amazing. They have a free shuttle, running on request from 8am to midnight between the hotel and amalfi town square, which is a nice perk as it's too far away...

My husband and I were traveling to Italy for our 30 year anniversary. We wanted to stay some place special. Monster Santa Rosa was FAR SUPERIOR to what we even expected! From the moment we entered every single member of their staff treated us like we were special. Every meal was delicious whether it was in one of the restaurants...

Beautifully appointed hotel atop a cliff with unsurpassed views of the Mediterranean. The Monastero has perfectly combined the new with the old, rooms that have all of the bells and whistles of a 5 star hotel while still maintaining the charm of the original architecture. With a limited amount of room, you never feel like there are too many people...

The service was flawless. The staff, from the general manager down, were all so approachable and accommodating. The hotel is a wonderful mix of elegance, history, luxury, and seclusion. And, I really struggle to bring together words befitting the scenery, cuisine, and the people of the Amalfi coast. To surmise: treat yourself!! It's worth it, and some!!!!

We have just returned from a week at this gorgeous hotel, there are not enough adjectives to describe it. The location is simply stunning, perched at the top of a cliff on the Amalfi coast, with wonderful views out over the Mediterranean. The staff are incredible, so polite, helpful and they want to do anything which will make your stay...

This was a transcendent experience. Facility, staff and service, food and location, you name it, just glorious and spectacular. The hotel is expensive, but worth every penny of it. The approach to customer service is warm, friendly and very Mediterranean. Beautiful location, beautiful people...but very, very welcoming...

Our first time visiting the Amalfi coast was an absolute dream thanks in large part to our stay at Monastero Santa Rosa. Upon arriving we were happy to discover the hotel had placed us in a sea view deluxe room with private terrace (even though when booking we thought the terrace rooms were already full) - it was perfect for...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Striking the perfect balance of seclusion without solitude, Monastero Santa Rosa allows guests to determine the tone of their stay, whether they're looking to disappear for an intimate getaway or gather with the group and make new acquaintances. It's hard to imagine that the generous grounds, filled with four levels of gardens, lush landscaping, plentiful lounge chairs, and canopied daybeds, serve just 20 rooms and suites. Where most boutique properties might only offer in-room massages, Monastero Santa Rosa hosts a fully equipped spa to rival any major city spa, offering not just treatment rooms, but large-scale amenities that include a sauna, steam, mosaic-tiled experience shower, hydro pool, and tepidarium. Guests are welcome to feel a part of the scene at the library and bar. Engage in a game of chess or cards or read while sipping a martini in the modern cocktail area. Relax down by the pool or discover the resort's secret gardens, quiet sun decks, and indoor relaxation areas. Get the best of both worlds by making your stay as energizing or relaxed as you wish, by selecting different spaces to suit your mood at any time. ... more   less
