We arrived at the hotel to a room that was a bit too small for our needs. Simona was very accommodating and made sure we could switch rooms the next day That level of service continued throughout our stay with the entire staff 1.Fernando every morning greeting us with the best breakfast and Americano’s! 2.Roberto taking care of us at dinner as well as being our wonderful translator during our cooking class 3.Raffaele their head chef who made our cooking class so much fun!! Everyone at the hotel worked together to make sure We had a lovely stay. We were even driven back to our room at the end of the night. Thank you again!!!
Wow. Wow. Wow. We are definitely coming back! The service was amazing. Maria and Simona took so much care of us and had amazing communication. They were so accommodating and we were treated like family. Also, the bus stop was nearby and was very convenient. We are going to miss them and can’t wait to come back to enjoy the views and the people !
Simona was a great host and the location was perfect. This was our second time staying here and was hoping to stay at the main building. Unfortunately, it is being renovated and should be completed shortly. Simona booked us into a fully furnished apt with sea view balcony. It was perfect! Thank-you Simona for looking after us.
We're so glad we stayed here for a more relaxing time vs the more touristy Amalfi Coast towns. Our seaside room views rivaled Ravello. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in 2 different rooms and ate meals everyday there. We were spoiled to a dazzling array of savory and sweets for breakfast that we could never finish with delicious cappuccino made by Fernando. Meals and service at this Michelin guide restaurant always delivered. We got to enjoy fantastic local Furore wine that was not available in the US. Concierge Simona was very kind and expertly arranged cab rides for us everyday as we traveled within and outside the Amalfi Coast. Despite it being a busy peak season, it was our first time in Amalfi Coast, and we didn't speak Italian, she managed to attend to all our needs with patience and kindness. She and Fernando even sometimes gave us rides in their cars themselves to and from the restaurant/room (as the rooms are located a few minutes away from the restaurant). Thank you to hostesses Maria and Simona, barista Fernando (who speaks Spanish which was helpful to us), drivers Andrea, Emilio, and Gennaro, and all the wonderful staff who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and safe. This is a special place run by wonderful people in this little gem of a town. It was a lovely experience and I hope to come back someday soon!…
We spent 2 nights in Bacco as part of our honeymoon. Before we arrived we read a lot of raving reviews of the hotel and the restaurant and I must say that our stay did not meet what we expected. The rooms are lovely and the views over the cliffs are phenomenal, however, they staff were not particularly helpful. The hotel restaurant was closed the day we arrived and when we asked the reception to recommend a place to eat in the neighbourhood they just shrugged their shoulders and left us with it don’t know’. Breakfast was very disappointing and run in a disorganised manner, we had to wait 20 minutes for a coffee. Dinner at the restaurant was good but overpriced for what it was. If you stay at the hotel it’s worth eating there but I wouldn’t travel for it.
We stayed in this lovely hotel last weekend, and the experience was fantastic from the beginning. We were warmly welcomed to Hotel Bacco by very helpful staff, who made our stay comfortable throughout. Our room (Reginella) was charming and cosy, and the view was outstanding. We decided to stay for dinner at the restaurant of the hotel, and it was a very good choice! We ate extremely well on the beautiful terrace. Breakfast was good, but it would perhaps be more convenient to provide a buffet. Thank you Hotel Bacco for our wonderful weekend, we will definitely see you soon!
If you happen to be around, this hotel offers you great value for money and good views. The Marisa Cuomo winery is right on the other side of the road and there is a small grocery shop within a walking distance (15 minutes). Clean and spacious enough rooms and we didn’t have any noise problems. Their restaurant is also the best know in the area – though there isn’t many options nearby within walking distance. They offer also a good breakfast. All in all, a good experience. The only downside was that the receptionist was not there when we wanted to check out in the morning and due to that we nearly missed out our bus to Amalfi and from there to Positano. The receptionist was 25 minutes late in the morning due to traffic so if you are leaving early, do the check-out arrangements the evening before.…
Please note: I submitted this same review both on the site for the restaurant, and the hotel: This little slice of heaven in the Amalfi Coast is pure paradise! From the hotel to the restaurant, we had such a relaxing time that we never wanted to leave! We stayed here for 3 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Our Stay: First of all, the expansive views over the Mediterranean Sea are unmatched. Our room was spacious, and had a big bathroom, and giant yellow double doors that led out onto a large private patio below with two lounge chairs, a dining set, and an umbrella. From left to right, the only thing you see is water! It''s so beautiful and blue that it's hard to tell where the water line ends and the sky begins. The fruit trees on either side of the balcony made it feel like a tropical oasis. Our room had excellent air conditioning and there was always a nice breeze coming off the water. Breakfast: Breakfast was excellent. We both eat gluten free, and they had a nice variety of gluten free rolls, cakes and cookies to enjoy, along with farm fresh hard boiled eggs, fresh squeezed juices, meats, cheeses, yogurt, granola, and other yummy breakfast items. They have a small bar with anything you could ever want, and also a nice espresso machine to make espresso, cappuccino, lattes, etc. The hazelnut latte was amazing! Restaurant: The restaurant was so good, we ate dinner here all 3 nights of our stay! We tried nearly everything on the menu, and it was all delicious. The lemon risotto with the shrimp on top is so flavorful, and the linguine with the walnuts and anchovies was such a unique and unexpected treat. The cheese platter has unique cheeses, all locally made. We loved everything we tried, but the view is really what makes dining here spectacular. Plus if you are staying here, it's so convenient and they will reserve the best table for you. I noticed the reviewer before me stated that it seemed like the staff was inattentive, however we had read in Rick Steves before we left that the waitstaff in Italy are trained to leave you alone unless you flag them down. We found that any time we flagged them, they were quick to respond, but unlike in the US, they are not going to check in on you every few minutes to ask how things are. We found it to be nice, because we weren't constantly interrupted, but yes, if you want something, you need to get their attention and speak up. Cooking Class: The staff are so friendly and eager to make your experience top-notch. We were blown away with the knowledge and generosity of the chefs. We both eat gluten-free, and they were more than happy to accommodate this and make sure everything we made was prepared in a separate area and gluten free. We learned how to make 2 different types of gluten free pasta, fresh fish caught earlier that day!, almond cookies, and sampled many other dishes. It was such a fun time, and we will never forget it. Getting Around: We took a private cab into Positano one day. It was expensive, but to us it was worth the cost to be on our own schedule rather than trying to navigate a bus. Simone at the front desk helped us book the taxi, and she also booked us a taxi for our ride back to the airport when we checked out. She even arranged for us to have a breakfast to go, since we had to leave so early. She is so helpful and kind. Be sure to ask her any questions you have about getting around! We had planned on visiting Positano, Amalfi, and Capri, but after one day of traveling to Positano, and walking around in the heat all day in the crowded swarms of people, we were so happy to return to our slice of paradise at Bacco that we stayed put the next 2 days! It's such a beautiful retreat, and you will have a whole new appreciation for it when you leave for even a few hours. We loved our stay here and hope to return some day. Thank you, Bacco!…
This hotel is a real gem. We stayed only one night but wished we could stay longer. The room was large and very comfortable. The shower was fantastic and the view from the balcony amazing. Also the food at the restaurant is really delicious. The hotel is 30min bus ride from Amalfi and the bus stops right outside. This was great because we didn’t have to battle the insane traffic and hope for a miracle to find a parking spot in Amalfi. The staff at the hotel were lovely. This will be our hotel of choice next time we visit Amalfi.
All I can say about this hotel is, it's amazing, honestly. It's such a cute hotel with an amazing view, overlooking the Amalfi Coast. Where the hotel is located is quiet and peaceful. The room was spacious with comfy beds and air con and a working TV, the only thing is the bathroom is a little small and so is the shower, but that doesn't matter. Lots of variety for breakfast, and you must make sure you have dinner at the restaurant, the food is so delicious, compliments to the chef's. The view is stunning as you're having dinner as it looks over the Amalfi coast. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and a huge thank you to Simona and Domenico who helped us loads, thank you so much. The location is perfect if you have rented a car as it's about a 20 min drive to Amalfi, but if you didn't (like us) then there is a bus stop right outside the hotel which will take you down to Amalfi but ask the reception desk as sometimes you need to purchase bus tickets at the reception, there are taxi drivers that also drive down and offer to take you if they see you standing at the bus stop. All in all, the hotel is amazing and will be definitely returning (with a car this time) I would highly recommend this hotel. …
