Near Florence, but in the quiet of the Tuscan countryside. The owners (hello Perla and Marco) are friendly and helpful and make it easy to stay. We will definitely come back, even to make the Italian cookery courses. Tio

My boyfriend and I visited last summer whilst in Italy. One of the highlights of our trip was a cookery course we did at Villa Saladini. The kitchen where we were preparing the food was an authentic Italian kitchen with marble tops- perfect for pasta. We learnt how to cook a three course meal and then got to enjoy it...

Exquisite place to stay and enjoy Tuscany, especially the Chianti region. Comfortably located just 15 minutes by car from the heart of Florence, this authentic villa is nested in the idyllic olive groves and grape-yards, well out of the bustling city life. The best option is to come by car or to rent one, because it's the only way to...

We stayed with Marco and Perla for the second time after a wonderful first experience 2years ago. The welcome is so warm and genuine and both of these lovely people can't do enough for you. We took advantage of the pickup and drop off service from the Firenze SMN rail which saved any unnecessary stress finding a bus when we...

Villa Saladini was more than I could have hoped for. After a month in another part of Tuscany, I spent my last two weeks renting the apartment, Saladino. I can't say enough about the Villa or, Perla and Marco, the owners. Beautiful grounds, quiet, peaceful, surrounded by olive groves and views of the verdant hilltops covered with vines in the...

This was our second stay at Villa Saladini in Impruneta and when we arrived it was just like coming home to family. There were warm hugs all around. Not only is the apartment well equipped and comfortable, it is also very convenient for visiting Florence and other close by cities like Lucca, Prato and even Pisa. We had the ground...

Step back in time while surrounded by the beautiful Tuscan region. Perla and Marco are the consummate hosts and the accommodations are amazing. The location is perfect for visiting Firenze during the day by 40-minute bus ride and having the quiet retreat at the end of the evening with the hosts cooking an authentic dinner using their home-produced olive oil...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located at the edge of Chianti, Villa Saladini is a typical Tuscan villa. Surrounded by the gentle Chianti hills, the 6ha property, owned and managed by Morici family for over 200 years, is less than 1 km from the main square of Impruneta and only 12 km from the center of Florence. The bus stop for Florence is just in front of entrance gate.Staying at Villa Saladini is like a blast from the past: it is a place where time has stopped. From the entrance to the small chapel, everything has remained as it was 200 years ago, but at the same time there are modern facilities such as free Wi-Fi also in the garden.Due to its location (300 meters above sea level), the property has a very comfortable climate, cool even in the hottest summers, and it has a spacious view on olive groves and surrounding hills. We like to offer our guests a comfortable and relaxing holiday as well as full access to the large sunny lawn with panoramic views, to the shady and fresh garden with pines and orchads as well as to the whole park and olive groves. The property is surrounded by woods and has ample parking space.Perla Pedani and Marco Morici, the owners, will be happy to inform you about hikes, cultural excursions, monthly events and weekly markets. On request, we will go shopping for you so that everything is there upon your arrival.Upon request we are able to prepare you an excellent typical Tuscan dinner accompanied by a bottle of good Chianti.Villa Saladini is the ideal place to relax but it is also an excellent base for exploring the beautiful countryside of Chianti, the wonderful city of Florence as well as the most charming places in Tuscany. ... more   less

“We chose our room on the ground floor so we wouldn't have to carry luggage upstairs. We also like having the extra space. I also visited one of the rooms upstairs - a single room with kitchen, sitting and sleeping facilities all in one room with an attached bath. It is lovely and had all the same amenities as we did but in a smaller space. However it had the benefit of a lovely out door balcony and great views from the windows. Either would be great.”

“There is no fitness center nor pool but I refuse to rate them terrible on anything because that would be a lie. Each apartment has its own charm depending on your need for views, space, upstairs/downstairs. They are al unique and beautiful.”
