We had the 3-bedroom villa with complete kitchen and beautiful living/dining room--terra cotta tiled floors, 2 full bathrooms (both with showers). Opened the gorgeous windows every morning to hear roosters crowing in the distance, rolling hills of green, occasional cow bell. It was divine! A magical stay! We had our 2 kids with us and my father---3 generations--it fit us...

Rooms are great (there's a range of 1-bedroom to 3-bedroom apartments/villas), views are fantastic and don't worry about it being Umbria and not Tuscany because there is plenty to do, lots of great food and wine to try, only far fewer tourists. Just ask Vittoria, the owner, for tips if you don't know where to go. You don't speak Italian?...

I was fortunate enough to share this piece of paradise with a yoga group from the U.S. and Europe. The rooms, the countryside and the food were amazing, but the wonderful care that we were given by Vittoria and Carmela made the week long stay worth every minute. They were patient with our Italian, knowledgeable about more than the immediate...

We were fortunate to be the guests of friends who were returning to this lovely spot - my first trip to Italy and La Montagnola makes me want to return to the beautiful views, serene sunsets and warm September nights on the lawn. Close to Assisi and the beautiful artwork ceramics in the town of Deruta - there is much...

Our first visit to Caprareccia was so amazingly beautiful and relaxing it was difficult to imagine that our second visit could be so very special. The property is so picturesque with exquisite views. The villa is kept neat and clean, clutter free, yet homey and warm. The pool is refreshing with wonderful views and comfortable lounge chairs. The owners of...

My first visit to Italy and I definitely found Italy's heart in Umbria. La Montagnola is located in Torgiano atop a mountain, overlooking the town Perugia - the drive up to the main house is spectacularly lined with tall trees adding to the expectation of the beauty of the landscape - and you will not be disappointed. There are clear...

I've only been home a week from my annual summer visit to La Montagnola and I'm already planning an October return. Imagine: life atop a private mountain, in a well-appointed home, surrounded by olive trees, rosemary shrubs, your own pool and stellar views of the Umbrian countryside and the magnificent city of Assisi. Every year brings the same dilemma: should...

On my first trip to Italy, La Montagnola turned out to be the highlight! I totally loved the views including the beautiful sunsets. One of my highlights was dining with friends and family in the open air enjoying the view of Assisi and Bettona. Vittoria and her team do an incredible job preparing the villas and can accomodate most requests....

I am still glowing from my 2012 trip to the Mountain! Vittoria is a laid back and helpful hostess who brings Italian style and helps us navigate beyond the tourist-oriented places into an authentic and lovely Italy. Once our rental car crunches up the gravel driveway, our days slowly fill with Italian life. Itallian language, Italian food, Italian effortless style....

“The agriturismo comprises two sets of farmhouse accomodations; some years, we've reserved all of them: Caprareccia, the mountaintop retreat ideal for familes or groups of 4 or more; Il Poggio, a beautiful private home, and La Casa della Cacia, five adjecent apartments surrounding a private pool, all just down the hill from Caprareccia.”
