Great little spot and my golly the steak on the stone was perfection at its finest. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Food did not take long to arrive and can not fault one thing. Well worth the stop if passing through on your travels. Little gem.

The Standing Stone is a great place to have a bite to eat or a drink, when you're visiting Ballinamore. I first visited when the hotel opened in Summer 2014 for a family friends 21st party, and then for a meal a few days later. The hotel interior is lovely, and the staff are very friendly. Review for August 2014.

Another great visit to this lovely restaurant. I have a few special requirements when it comes to food and the staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. The waitress was even going to run across to the local shop in the village to pick up some skimmed milk for me, as they only had whole milk !! So friendly and helpful. This really is a super place to visit and has so much history. Check out the Standing Stone in reception and ask about it's origins - it is amazing. A definite must for visitors to this gorgeous village.

A large group of friends came from Dublin and stayed in The Standing Stone'. They all had a great stay and said they will definitely stay again in the future. Karen and Shane and Sandra really made them feel at home and the rooms were of high standard. Great food in the evening and a great breakfast in the morning.Great selection of wines and the lads enjoyed the Guinness too. Thanks for the late check out too.!!

I was assisting at a church service in the local parish and I was booked into this hotel as it was 2 minutes away from the church. On arrival I was greeted by the manager Karen who all through my stay was on hand and really went above and beyond. The church service finished very late and Karen had waited up for us and as soon as we arrived in she had sandwiches and tea out for us. The breakfast the next morning could not be faulted! It was simple, it was tasty and the service and attention to detail was perfect. If I am ever in the neck of the woods again I will be booking back in.

I recently stayed here with all my family who all travelled from Dublin to Ballinamore for a family wedding. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly owners. They gave us a lovely warm welcome, lovely warm stove lit in the Bar to give an immediate relaxing atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Food excellent. Compliments to the chef. Highly recommend the Duck. My nieces and Nephews were so relaxed. They range in age from 1 -7 and adults could relax whilst enjoying Wine or the great Guinness they serve. Rooms were perfect, nice and warm. Had great sleep. Down for breakfast the next morning, and again, great feed. We all parked in the Square at top of the town which is a 2 minute walk from hotel and bar. We really couldn't get over the service. Couldn't fault it. Food and all round friendliness of the hotel owners and staff was one you don't get everywhere you go. It was an absolute joy, and really put a Groom at ease before the big day!!! Thanks a million for a great stay. the Dubs will be back for sure!!

Checked into this Hotel for 4 nights as we were attending the local cowboys and heroes festival.Great location in a lovely town .Rooms are clean and comfortable and great power showers. Food in bar is out of this world.Great variety and we'll priced. We ate there every evening and it was so well presented and tasty. Staff are very friendly and hard working they called taxies for us whenever we needed them and provided us with umbrellas as it was a very wet weekend.Breakfast was fantastic and great that it was served till 11pm.To sum up we will definitely be returning !!

Stopped by for an evening meal with family, friendly welcome, food choice isn't huge, but it appears fresh and seasonal, with some Specials. Ancient Standing Stone in the lobby, the food and service was good, and reasonably priced, generous portions.

On booking this venue, I was informed there was free on site parking as well as wifi access. However on arrival I was told to park out on the roadside which was quite busy at times & there was certainly no access to wifi. Adding to this there was no reception staff at any time as one had to rely on the bar person if they had any questions or even when checking in. Breakfast was self service for some and table service for others. The rooms smelled musky and definitely have not been updated in quite some time. As a hotel one expects there will be some sort of facilities but there were none available. Food ended @ 8.50pm on a summers weekend night. The positives from the stay were: 1)There was a 40" Flatscreen TV on Bedroom dresser replacing (still in situ) mounted 12" Portable TV on the wall. 2) Barman offered his own copy of Sunday Business Post when asked about papers.
