Excellent service in this very friendly and helpful 1920's style accommodation. The quality of the food is outstanding and very well presented for both evening meal and breakfast. Clean and reasonably priced. It would easily beat other restaurants in Matlock Bath. Very relaxed

Attentive, friendly owners and staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Went out of their way to copy walking routes for us. Room very clean and appointed showing the owners passion for what they do. Food excellent. Chef put extra options on for my vegetarian wife. Would

Had a fantastic last minute break to this lovely and friendly hotel. We stayed in Callow, a king size room at the front of the hotel. Even though at the front of the hotel, it was quiet, even though Matlock Bath has a lot of traffic during the day. The hotel has a lovely

We have visited this hotel several times over the last 9 years and we are never disappointed. Staff are excellent with a lovely couple who run and own the hotel heading up the team. Hotel is very well decorated in good taste with lots of period charm. On the Friday we stopped

My husband and I have stayed at many hotels around the world but only a few places could match the wonderful hospitality of this beautiful old world hotel. The rooms are decorated so beautifully and with charming features. Too many to mention, but a must see... The restaurant

Hello sorry we had not seen your question here on Tripadvisor for some reason. Its always quicker to just call us directly if you have any urgent questions as we are often busy in the hotel taking care of things and not online. We are a three storey grade II listed townhouse so we do not have a lift and we do not have any ground floor rooms. We do help all guests with luggage especially those who have some mobility issues. Further details about this and rooms can be found on our website.

Do you do a family room for 2 adults and a 5 and 7 year old?
So sorry we missed this question here for some reason. We have 8 rooms total. We have two rooms that will take two adults and one child (one single extra bed) and one room that would suit a family with room for two adults and two children under 10 (this room has a superking bed and a pull out double bed/couch) . Thank you and sorry we did not see your question earlier

what is your cancellation policy.do I lose my deposit
Hello sorry we did not see your message earlier... Re-selling rooms at the last minute can be difficult for a small hotel like ours, so should you need to cancel or curtail for any reason, our cancellation policy requires you to give us at least 48 HOURS NOTICE in order to avoid cancellation fees of the full cost of the room booking/night. Any deposit made is non refundable but we will transfer the deposit to a future date if you do need to cancel suddenly due to unforeseen circumstances. THanks Best regards Zoe & Chris
