We had a see facing room on top floor, room was nicely decorated, bathroom ok too. Bed was slightly on the small side and floor a little rickety (to be expected in an old building ). Price for a double room as become quite high, I think thank in part to Broadstairs recently found 'trendy' status. There are no lifts...

This is a really nice hotel right in the centre of Broadstairs. The breakfast was really nice with plenty of choice and cooked to order.....they even make your toast. We also ate lunch at the hotel this was also cooked to a good standard. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely with plenty of space and a...

We were a family of five in a family room. Up 3 narrow flights of stairs to top storey. Room was fine but small - comfy big bed, bunks plus we had a portacot. Big bathroom though and very quaint. Staff were lovely and friendly, always chatty and smiling and happy to help from front desk to cleaning staff. Really...

This was our first visit to Broadstairs, and I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. The location of this hotel is good, walking distance to town centre, good pubs, restaurants and the station and overlooking historic Viking Bay. The hotel doesn't have its own parking, but a free 24 parking voucher obtained at reception can be used at the...

It's a great shame that the Royal Albion Hotel in Broadstairs has a monopoly in this historic town in Kent. The fact that there are no other hotels of merit in Broadstairs, and it's beautiful location on the sea, means that it remains popular and is quickly booked up. Actually the whole of Broadstairs has a feeling of having seen...

The location of this hotel in Broadstairs is excellent, walking distance to town centre, the station, Council car park (voucher for parking free from reception), and overlooking historic Viking Bay. The building is (200 years?) old but has obviously benefitted from extensive recent updating. The public areas are friendly and welcoming and the bar and restaurant were always very busy...

Our second stay at the Royal Albion. This time, we had to book at very short notice. We find the hotel pleasantly comfortable and generally very friendly. During our stay we were made aware of the impending upgrades and look forward to visiting again.

The hotel has a bar, coffee shop and restaurant that is very popular and deservedly so. They serve pretty much anything you would want from breakfast to dinner. There is a reasonable bar selection. In the nice weather there is a very nice garden on the cliff top which is sheltered and sunny.

We stay here at least twice a year, this visit was poor on a couple of points, the food was below the normal standard for both the breakfast an evening meal. The level of service was still excellent. The reception service was very poor, there was an issue with the hot water and they did not bother to get it...
