The location speaks for itself. The Hosts are friendly and welcoming to all. A 0ne night stop-over or a base camp to explore the surrounding areas. The mix of rooms and facilities will fit a single traveller as well as a couple or a small group.
Right on Slocan Lake, Sweet Dreams is just perfect. Clean rooms with air conditioner and view of the lake. They do not have a restaurant, but some evenings they do offer meals depending on the group. Very comfortable speciality hotel.
We only had one night stay at this B&B and were thankful it was not longer. First of all, it should just be called a “B”, because there is no breakfast. So basically we just paid 100.00 to sleep in a bed. My husband asked for a cup of coffee and was told that the coffee was only for “family”. She did, however offer hot water so we could make our own tea. The entire family was in the main room watching tv and the owners never offered for us to sit with them. She did, however tell us all about herself and the town for a solid hour. The rooms are terrible; curtains that don’t close at night and, rugs that need to be cleaned and no amenities in the bathroom. Overall, it was a terrible experience. I would not recommend this B&B to anyone.
We've been coming here for about 15 yrs, often during the Hills Garlic Festival and we always wish to find a room here. What a beautiful and historic home, wonderful location facing Slocan Lake and fantastic people to meet.
Owner Not friendly at all, they did not introduce themselves, would not recommend staying there. Left early without breakfast as the smoke detector kept going off starting at 4 am then every 20 minutes,
