Tlacotalpan is a lovely town on a picturesque river. We had a big room on the river side. However, the hotel is a little rundown and poorly maintained - the toilet seat was broken, hot water was intermittent at best - and it wasn't very...More
I spent one night here in the "suite" overlooking the river, the room is big, the AC was working fine, I love the sound of AC and for me it was not an inconvenience that it was kind of loud (is a very old unit)....More

Dear Jeannette, Yes, this small and nice hotel does have air conditioning in every room. Ask for the one called "Piragua" which is by the river . . . very nice. Also, if you like pyramids, you might want to visit El Tajín, which is north of the port of Veracruz, which in itself is also worth a visit. Just next to EL Tajín is Papantla with its famous dancers and vanilla. Finally, in the less known beach of Tecolutla, you can help "Vida Milenaria" free sea turtles into the Gulf of Mexico. Best of luck and thank you for appreciating these Mexican marvels.
