I can say that the front desk and the security guard were kind but the waitress at night was rude, unpolite and she was not aware of our food and needings. Also, some food were expired. The rooms are ok for the price payed but back again the restaurant is very abandoned in matter of service and quality

Simple hotel, with friendly staff. Not luxurious but the hotel has the necessary amenities. Rooms are clean. Ideal for visiting Calakmul and the Rio Bec area. It has a good restaurant too. Supermarket, gas station and bus stop nearby.

Ideally located to visit Calakmul and other ruins. Nice hotel with friendly staff. Rooms were clean and with enough space. Fresh air coming thru the two windows. No need to use the air condition in the room.

We use this hotel as a sleepover for over Calakmul trip and it was probably be in town hotel. Very clean, tidy and nice pool. Rooms are good enough with air condition, wifi and shower. Taking in account overall quality of other available options, this was a very nice stay!

This was our base for 6 days while in Xpujil. There is not much selection of accommodation in the area so this was adequate. The rooms were smallish, clean but quite basic in decor. There thankfully was air conditioning and TV as well as wifi. The best part was the large and clean swimming pool in the heat of the...

If you intend to visit Biosphera Calakmul and you're driving from Merida, you'd probably in need of an overnight stay. The closest stop to Calakmul is the small town of Xpujil. There's not much there (just a few small and basic accommodation options, a supermarket and a gas station). From the options available, Hotel Calakmul is by far the best....

We stayed here a few different times in the past, as a quick stopover to see the numerous ruins in this area. We are pleased with the refurbishment that is going on. We choose an upper level room this time. On a previous stay, I told my husband that I would never stay here again! That time there was a...

The twin beds were fine, the t.v didn't not have any channels so was a big waste of space. The hot water did NOT work, and the bathroom smelled like sewage. The pool looked clean and nice, but was out of service due to chemical cleaning. The location was convenient for visiting the many Mayan ruins in the area.

After a 10 hours day of driving this was a great little gem to find. It was dark by this time and time to get off the road and get a good rest. This hotel served the purpose. We had a room set back on the second floor overlooking the pool. There were no noise issues from the highway traffic....

We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Calakmul. The restaurant is incredibly slow, with decent food. We preferred the short walk to other restaurants in town. The location is ideal for visiting a variety of Mayan ruin sites that you might otherwise overlook. We paid 450 pesos cash, the charge for credit card would have been over 500. It was clean...
