My wife and I booked a couple of nights at the Villa Donati right after the Australian Open. It was like staying in a friend's elegant ancestral home. The place is well maintained, clean and thoughtfully furnished with furniture, accents and lighting that are consistent with its more than century-old main structure. Our bed was comfortable and the linen and...

We approach weekends away with a sense of anticipation;a chance to unwind,be pampered and enjoy a new city or region. Villa Donati is well situated in Richmond, although this brings a fair amount of traffic noise from the early morning. The boutique hotel offers a private lounge with comfy sofas and excellent browsing books.Breakfast is wonderful with good coffee . However,the...

The perfect place to spend a long weekend. It is a grand house and Gayle is a perfect hostess. I would definitely recommend this B&B over and over and over again. The room was airy, well decorated and very comfortable. The bed was firm.

Because Villa Donati is our first choice to stay when in Melbourne, we always recommend it to work colleagues and friends for its aesthetically pleasing surroundings; superb bedrooms, beautiful furnishings, and living and breakfast rooms all reminiscent of an elegant home. It’s handy to Richmond shopping (Bridge Rd and Swan St), the Tennis Centre and the MCG, with trams and...

We stay every time we come to Melbourne, and we feel like it is our home. A very warm and inviting boutique hotel with all your needs catered for. Lots of attention to detail and a seemless blend of styles goes into making this a winning combination of elegence and luxury. Breakfast is just icing on the cake to this...

The building is a renovated doctor's office with very high ceilings and plenty of space. We stayed for three nights - a stop in Melbourne on our honeymoon. Trevor's helpful local tips and delicious breakfasts enhanced our experience. Conveniently located, although many tour groups/transfer services don't seem familiar with the area (it's like once out of the CBD, they dont...
