We landed in Garden Beach Bungalows for a couple of dolce fare niente and we ended up staying a couple of weeks. Simple and beautiful machete roof bungalows, delightful garden and such a funky bar. Garden is beautiful but what makes it great is the staff; excellent service, delicious fresh sea food, fresh tropical fruit and juice for breakfast included...

Delightful and groovy staff; great ambience; the best Zanzibari salad and amazing grilled seafood; great rooms full of character right on the beach; good value; lots of plants and beauty... what's not to like? This place is strongly recommended, not least as it is one of the only locally-owned establishments on the beach.

For 40usd per night, we got a nice bungalow with sea view, bathroom with shower (not heated), delicious breakfast with eggs, fruits, fresh juice.. included. Staff is very friendly, and you can get good food for fair price. Hakuna mattata, this can take a while before served. All in all good price for what you get. The beaches in this...

Make sure you do not book online as you will pay about double what these bungalows are worth. Turn up and haggle if you are going in low season and you should pay about 30usd. The bungalows themselves are fine - basic with cold water etc. Nice beach location (though only one bungalow has sea views). Staff were amazing -...

Simple bungalows at a nice and quiet beach. We enjoyed our (short) stay here a lot. It is located in a small village on the southeastern part of Zanzibar. We rented a motorbike from Stone Town to get there, which was a very memorable trip. While the bungalows are basic, the beach is nice and the staff friendly. If you...

Amazing! Cant put it differently. Bungalows are basic but fit the environment perfectly, small veranda, bed with mosquito net and fan and a bathroom with shower. 10 meters from the beach with great views of sunrise and set. What makes the place stand out even more from its competition is the incredibly chill staff at the place. The bar and...

Nice place near the beach. Laid back and relaxed atmosphere. Excellent breakfast. Chill and helpful personel. Excellent value for money. The only downside was the lack of warm water and the somewhat loud music past 11pm from thr bar.

We stayed here for four nights. The rooms are spacious and clean and come with a nice veranda to chill out. The service, at least during our stay, excelled only in its non existance. While the guys were nice enough they were somewhat lacking enthousiasm and, most importantly, small change. Whenever we bought a drink at the bar we got...

Garden Bungalows is basic but very nice, pleasant and clean, with a nice part of natural beach (most Jambiani places have modified the beach) in front. They have lots of plants and trees that give a nice atmosphere. Halim and crew at Garden were amazing. They were genuine and friendly without being overbearing or too cool to be helpful. Ask...
