We loved coral rock. The coastline on this part of Zanzibar is spectacular and any hotel will be better than other places in the world. However at coral rock we had our own private bungalow with a decking and raised beach area completely private to us. There was a 4 poster bed on the beach prefect for watching the sunrise...

I would not recommend this hotel. Do not stay here if you are a family or a young couple looking for a peaceful time. The rooms here are ok and overlook a beautiful idyllic coast line. However, the service from the restaurant and hotel staff is terrible. In the restaurant, food will take over an hour to arrive-even starters or...

Coral Rock has taken over a month to respond to this review as we have been waiting on feedback that corroborates the experience, we have done so both proactively and by checking all reviews from all channels. After all this time it appears that there is no feedback that is in line with this experience. That being said we have...

I stayed at Coral Rock for 2 nights. Overall I had a nice stay. I enjoyed the staff the most. The first night there was bbq and since I paid for full board it was included, and the food was delicious. The next night I wanted lobster and it was sold out in the first 20 minutes of dinner. So...

The atmosphere of this cozy hotel is just fantastic. Amazing pool, the small decor details makes all the difference. Here you can really fell relaxed. You have many place to sun bath and privacy. The food is nice and not overpriced. Do not expect fast order, not only here but in Zanzibar everything is "Pole Pole" (slow), which is kind of...

This was recommended by a friend and as promised the location could not be better. Each room overlooks the stunning white sand and turquoise waters of the Jambiani beach. The rooms are clean and fairly modern with local touches. Bathrooms have hot showers and excellent water pressure. The in-room safe was very small and the key slightly rusted so I...

Dear guest, thanks for your feedback. I'm glad you brought this up actually because it has not been covered in a very long time on the review sites. What you experienced is not actually termites. I know what you speak of very well. This is in fact a single grub of a type of flying insect in Zanzibar. Very common....

The Hotel is ok, can do with some renovation, Thatch is falling apart , no tea or coffee facilities in the room. Staff very friendly, lekker pool with good view, food also hit and miss. one day you will have a good meal and the next day the same thing will be smaller and sometimes just seemed slapped together. The recommendation from a local friend confirmed what i had hoped. My arrival late at night was wonderful - being met by a Masaai guest relations officer, taken to my awesome room built over the emerald green water that greeted me the next morning. The staff are friendly, relaxed and attentive. The food was reliably fresh, tasty and varied at...
