Love, Love, Love this place! Great people own and run the Flutterbye House!! They have bikes and surfboards to use, the beach is just a walk down the road. Also a great place to visit for cocktails, cornhole and some great food. Join the folks from the Flutterbye and some local ex/semi ex-pats for Softball on Saturdays at the Uvita... More

I love the vibes here, and the staff is soo amazing! The meals are really nice but a bit small in my opinion. The hostel is super close to the beach and the famous whale's tale. The town, bahia, is nice and quiet, for the nearest super market or bank you have to walk a bit, take the taxi or... More

Who's not looking for a new world within Costa Rica? You're either coming for a changed tan or a different perspective. I discovered the Flutterby House as a place of many transformations. It's clever that they use a butterfly to tell their story and the plot many you'll meet are embracing. Families, solo travelers and groups found their home away... More

I really enjoyed this hostel because at this point in my journey all I wanted to do was nothing. There are still things to do, don't get me wrong, but there's also no pressure to just spend some relaxing time to yourself. Go to the nearby beach, walk through town, take a dip in the waterfall. And at night there's... More

Whether you're looking to be social or just solo relax this place is beautiful. The staff were extremely helpful and also friendly. Uvita is a small town and the hostel is 10 min drive from town but only a 3 min walk to the ocean. It is nestled in the jungle so you are surrounded by lush green everything. They... More

We were staying in the mountains so didn't stay here but we had a lovely lunch. Costa Rica is an expensive place to eat and we really enjoyed reasonably priced food (cerviche, burrito, salads (c3,5000) and beer. Traditional ice cream was lovely (c1000) too. Great atmosphere - good music and lovely service from the waitresses. We would definitely consider staying... More

We stayed there for 3 nights. A friend had recommended me this place. We booked a cabin (40$ per night, breakfast not included, shared bathroom). When we arrived the girl that met us was very nice and explained us everything very well. In general, we found the staff attitude excellent. Maybe we left with the impression that it can be... More
