Nestled by the lake, Seehotel Rust offers a pleasant atmosphere, celebrated by guests for its festive vibe during holidays and well-appointed rooms. While reviewers appreciate the comfortable accommodations and array of well-maintained amenities like the spa and pool, some have raised concerns about room cleanliness and service inconsistencies.
The hotel's stunning location is a highlight, though early cafe closures and mosquitoes are occasional drawbacks. Despite some criticisms about the cost of dining, the overall value is acknowledged, especially given the hotel's cleanliness and prime setting.

We were traveling by motorcycle and spent a night at Seehotel Rust.
We booked by phone, that all worked out well.
Advantage is the secure parking and of course the hotel has a great location right on the lake.
Rooms were very nice, with enough space and air conditioning. Due to the high temperatures of mismanagement, of course, expect mosquitoes, but you know that on a lake.
A real disadvantage is the location but considering the supply around the hotel.
We were told that we can eat in the evening in the hotel's own cafe, but the cafe closes at 7pm. That's where the evening would start for us.
Then you really only have the opportunity to eat and drink in the opposite restaurant.
But they take advantage of the situation more than outrageously. 2 bottles of mineral water for over 15€, burgers and simple dishes from 26€ upwards. To say the least, a cheekiness and insolence.
Furthermore, we were advised by a local to avoid the place as the quality was not good.
So we decided to take the 4.5 km round trip to eat and drink very well in the Buschenschank.
Upon returning to the hotel, we discovered by chance that the owner of the kiosk at the outdoor pool was still watching football. This one was more than friendly and there was another good beer. Thank God it was EM, otherwise there would have been nothing.
A drink of fridge would do the trick.
You don't need service, but at least you need something to drink.
But again, there was nothing to discover.
Eigentlich incl. Breakfast very positive, but the supply around the hotel would keep us from coming again.....pity

Very pleasant stay, friendly reception. I was able to reach all the areas I wanted despite having a wheelchair. The room was barrier-free and the bathroom was even wheelchair accessible. A towel rack right next to the sink and brighter lighting would certainly help. An additional grab bar in the shower when getting in would make it safer.
The breakfast was excellent and the service friendly and helpful.

The Seehotel in Rust am Neusiedler See is a mixture of holiday resort, conference hotel and partly weekend accommodation for the friends of wine. The hotel rightly carries four stars, which is reflected in the criteria of staff, furnishings, quality, facilities, etc.
The range of food is high quality and leaves nothing to be desired. However, the drinks are very high-priced and are well above average. The rooms are comfortably furnished and the hotel has a different selection of room qualities (with / without balcony, with / without lake view etc.). The cleaning staff, the service but also the friendliness at the reception are excellent.
The garden and the SPA area are very well maintained. Parking space is ample, even if some guests unfortunately still do not know that disabled parking spaces can only be used with an appropriate parking permit.
Our room had a balcony overlooking a parking lot. Unfortunately, some employees here had no decency at night and kept the engine of their vehicle running for a long time to cool the interior. They talked loudly with other colleagues. This behavior was not very considerate and was perceived by us as disturbing.
Another criticism was the pillow selection: The offered headrest was thin and did not resemble a pillow. No second specimen of this kind helped.
Otherwise, the hotel and also the place Rust is a clear Recommendation.

We booked two nights in the hotel because we had tickets for Mörbisch and St. Margarethen im Steinbruch. The location of the hotel is perfect, buses to St. Margarethen and Mörbisch leave from the front door and the Drescher boat line also leaves directly from the Mörbisch hotel. The center of Rust with many restaurants and shops is very close by.
The hotel is a bit old and will need some renovation in the next few years to keep up with the times. Perhaps the dining room should be divided up as it was a bit noisy at breakfast. But that's the end of the criticism. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We found out everything we needed for our stay and transport at reception. The rooms were spacious, there is a beach, which we unfortunately couldn't use due to the weather. But our room had a view of the lake, which was also beautiful.
The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. In the afternoon there is coffee and cake, we didn't have dinner in the hotel as we went to the performances. When we got back to the hotel after the performances, there was a midnight snack in the form of goulash soup and Burgenland cabbage soup and good wine.
There is also a wellness area, although we didn't use it.
Perfect stay, we will definitely come back and I have already recommended the hotel to others as many of our friends attend these performances.

The hotel met all our expectations. It offers amenities such as an indoor pool, indoor tennis courts and much more. The location directly on Lake Neusiedl is unique. The architecture of the large dining room in its tent shape is also worth seeing. We would love to come back.

Very friendly and hard-working staff!
Great value for money!
Coffee and cake in the afternoon (included in the price).
After midnight you are treated to goulash soup and cabbage soup!!!
The only negative: the ventilation in the bathroom didn't work!

The Seehotel is in a wonderful central location and offers an excellent breakfast with a great selection of bread. The standard rooms are not very big, but have a large closet. The bathroom is very small, however, and can only accommodate one person. The large lawn is wonderful. The wellness area and indoor pool are also very nice. The offer of cake and coffee in the afternoon and a midnight snack is also great. The staff at reception and the waiters were very friendly and helpful. When we asked if we could store our wine boxes in the hotel, it was no problem at all!

The location of the hotel is very nice.
Staff friendly and attentive! The facilities of the hotel are mostly satisfactory!
Unfortunately, the hotel is very old and needs urgent renovation!
Dirty, worn carpeting in the booked rooms and on the corridor.
Deep scratches in the wood by the bed and doors. Broken balcony and entrance doors (not lockable)
Overall, there was no feel-good factor in the room.
Breakfast and dinner except one very good.
Serving baked fish pieces at this price without freshly prepared sauce, but unkindly with ketchup and mayonnaise packs, is simply not possible (at this price)

A very warm welcome when checking in, the rooms are cozy and very clean and the view of the lake is enchanting, especially when you wake up! The beautiful lawn with shady trees... simply wonderful! The staff and service are very attentive, the generous breakfast is the first step to a relaxed day, the a la carte restaurant spoils you with excellent, sophisticated dishes with top wine accompaniment! Simply perfect!

The ****Seehotel Rust has its own lawn on Lake Neusiedl. A jetty with a ladder allows you to swim even when the water level is currently low. The "wet offer" is completed by a beautiful indoor pool with loooong opening times. A spin dryer for wet swimwear would not be a luxury.
There is also a fitness room, free bicycles with a bike rack and free use of the tennis court.
The rooms are decently sized, tastefully furnished, with hairdryer, AC, TV and safe. The rooms facing the lake get sun in the morning, those facing the city in the afternoon.
Good cuisine, half board or à la carte plus an excellent breakfast buffet. The staff are efficient and friendly.
