Though it has a wonderful setting in the Midi Pyrenees and fantastic views from the terrace , this hotel is in dire need of an upgrade and some TLC. There are photos in the bar of 70/80'sFrench celebrities and politicians ( including Mitterand ) visiting this hotel . After the heady days of the 70/80's I suspect that it has... More

Arrived during Summer with the temperature being 36 degrees to find there was no air conditioning. The room was small and bathroom tiny. There were cobwebs at the top of the window and bugs flying everywhere. Our room was above the street. Had a very nice dinner outside the back of the hotel overlooking the swimming pools where there was... More

Having driven from Spain we found ourselves heading towards the Milau viaduct at 11.00 pm at night, with the A75 closed due to flooding. After a pretty hairy drive in dense fog (in June) we were hoping for a light at the end of the tunnel and there it was. Open but with the staff closing up the bar, we... More

Despite numerous signs it was initially difficult to locate as the entrance is hidden slightly on the main street as we drove through. Had a pleasant staff and welcome from reception, fabulous setting in the valley with excellent leisure facilities including a swimming pool and sauna etc. Unfortunately due to time constraints we were not able to use them. The... More

We arrived at midnight and the owner arrived to give us our keys. i stayed in a family room, double bed with bunk bed. It had a roomy toilet area, lots of lights. Had wifi, but it was not that straight forward, but once I got going it worked. Breakfast was French, so that is up to your taste. According... More

The Hotel Carayon is a find! Our family of four was driving from the Toulouse area to Provence and just looking for a place to spend the night. We found a fabulous little family resort and wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the hotel's amenities (two swimming pools, minigolf, excellent restaurant, etc) and explore the nearby countryside and... I have just calmed down after three bitter months fuming over the way we were treated at this hotel. I was keen to take my family to experience the viaduct at Millau and so my wife undertook extensive research around the region and, although 50 km out of our way, we eventually made a reservation through the Hotel Carayon website.... We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in early September 2008 after a search for a hotel that offered something for both children and adults. It is a very odd place... we arrived on 2nd September to find essentially that most things shut on 31 August. The kiosk in the garden had closed for the season so you couldnt... More

This is children's paradise. They have 2 swimming pools - one with water slides, the other can be indoors when it's cold, outdoors when it's hot. They have mini-golf, petanque, peddle boats and swings. They also have hammocks for relaxing in. We had 2 rooms for 2 adults, 2 children. The rooms were quite small. They were old as well... More
