Obviously my opening comment depends on how much you paid for your stay. We got an excellent deal for a week on all inclusive basis with the flight from Barcelona included. Let me begin with the positives. Very friendly and helpfull staff. A large renovated bedroom with magnificent views ( room 136 ). A good shuttle bus to the rooms some of which are a long way from reception ( we had to walk up 155 steps to the dining room ) The pools are good and not overcrowded. We only drink wine so had no issues as reasonable quality wine was available everywhere. Now the not so good points . Despite the room and bathroom being large there is very little storage space for your clothes and the bathroom is rather dark . We twice requested early wake up calls but didn't get them. The hotel is not suitable for people with mobilty problems as everywhere you go is either up or down steep slopes. The food is not very exciting and usually it's cold . However, despite my complaints I still consider it to be good value.…
The hotel is not up to five-star status. I would not suggest coming here unless you're older and European white. There is no room service, the food is terrible, and some staff is mean and disrespectful. I had a checkout early in the morning, and the guy that checked me out had a horrid attitude with me. I asked him what time my car was going to be here? He then stated that I had to know my flight number, I told him I knew my flight so he grabbed a green booklet opens it and then tells me to find my flight. I told him I didn't know what I was looking at, could he please help me... This man then replies back.."DO YOU NOT KNOW YOUR FLIGHT NUMBER? HOW CANT YOU LOOK IN A BOOK AND FIND YOUR FLIGHT? I told him, well, sir, I don't know what I'm looking at; there's a lot of information here that seems like staff would know what this means. This guy YELLS at me in front of two people that are checking in, and then throws the book back behind his desk and tells me, " GO WAIT OUTSIDE!" I was shocked, appalled, and humiliated in front of other customers. I will NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN! What five-star hotel doesn't have room service? The hotel is hard to navigate as well, I got lost trying to find my room, the gym is old with gym equipment that looks and works like it's from the early 90s. It felt like I was at an air B&B, I had to walk up heals and in the heat just to eat at their cafe, which the food is terrible. I tried to go to another restaurant on the premises, but I was turned away because I needed to make a reservation. NO ONE told me during checking in that I had to make a reservation to eat there. This hotel messed up part of my trip but I will not let it get me down. I just know next time NEVER to come to this establishment again..EVER! Ps, I know that Greece is going through an immigration situation we're there are tons on people coming to this country in boats from Africa, and the middle east; felt that I might have been assumed to be an immigrant; that may have been why I was treated so distastefully in some instances here in Greece. I noticed people looking at me very keenly, as though I was not supposed to be there. The atmosphere at this hotel is not very friendly nor was it easy to request things like water. I hurt my leg going to my room because of this random step in the middle of the ground and twisted my ankle. I couldn't leave my room for the night to get water from the store on sight, so I called the front desk and asked the guy working there if I could get some help getting so freshwater, I told him that I twisted my ankle and I could not walk the 20/50 yards it takes to get to the store. The guy at the front desk said, "I told you before, there is no room service." I told the guy that I've seen staff bringing food and things to other guest rooms, I told him that I would go to the store but my ankle is in bad shape. He eventually sent water up amid me asking to speak with his boss, but this is the thing, it was so hard for me to eat, get service or even respect as a gust that I seriously believed it was because of me personally. I'm sitting at the airport now and I can't wait to get home, I couldn't wait to come to Greece I have Greek ancestry, but now I can't wait to go home. During this trip I've stayed in 3 other hotels and those stays were terrific. This hotel was the worst by far, and I'm more than likely will never be treated in this manner again.…
We visited this hotel for 11 days and it was amazing. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this hotel as the atmosphere was great and the people were very nice. The food was brilliant and different every night and the service was also very good. The manger was extremely nice, he spoke to us every day to see how we were doing in the hotel. Maria (restaurant worker) was also amazing, every day she would be very helpful and happy and made our experience at the hotel great. We enjoyed our time there and definitely would recommend.
IThe hotel might have been a five star when it was build( maybe 70s) but its a 3 star max at the moment! The location of hotel is superb as it's been built on a edge of a cliff. The staffs have been really friendly that's why i added one extera star. About all inclusive i wouldn't recommend it as majority of drinks were not in all inclusive menu! All in all I'd say you won't regret your visit if you are not very fussed to be in a 5 star hotel.
Were do I start? Yes, it's located in a beautiful place with nice views and yes, the stuff are nice and trying to help you as much as they can. But... The hotel is terribly maintained. All the pictures you see on their website were taken probably 20 years ago. The room appliances are old and not working properly. Every time we took a shower, the water was leaking, so we had to put towels on the floor to make sure the area around toilet is not flooded. The shower head kept jumping off it's holder and we were hit with that number of time, when taking a shower. (Thanks God it not very heavy and made of cheap plastic material) The door in the bathroom was scratching the floor, so I had to push it very hard every time we needed to open it. There are literally cracks on the walls in the lobby. The beach chares and umbrellas are very old, dirty, and have holes in them. The paint in many places old and coming off. We were really disgusted to see that the plates at the buffet had remanence of the food from previous use stuck to them. The food is absolutely awful. My wife and son could not find anything good to eat. So we ended up eating outside of the hotel (so much for all inclusive) They also charge you 2 euros for bottle of water (the same bottle costs 1 euro at any gas station. again, speaking about all- inclusive). I can go on and on since there are some many issues. Looks like the owners do not invest any money in maintaining the hotel. It's falling apart and in badly need of the repair and upgrade. It was a terrible mistake to select such awful hotel in such beautiful place like Crete.…
