This hotel is absolutely amazing - the views are stunning from your balcony and the service from the staff is excellent. We stayed in the pool suite; it was the best room ever. The view was unbelievable and room was perfect. All the staff was so polite and helpful, especially Kostas at reception, the young polish man that brought us a delicious breakfast every morning (sorry I cannot remember his name) and the excellent housekeeping ladies. The pool was a perfect temperature for October, we swam day and night. We ate at their restaurant Five Senses; it was very good, fairly priced and also had a great view of the sunset. I cannot express how perfect Astra Suites was.

We stayed in the pool suite (room 306) and WOW what an amazing room and amazing view. I will say if you are planning on staying in October, maybe opt for a jacuzzi room instead because it was so cold! Thankfully we had 1 day that was really nice where we really got to use the pool. We ordered in-room dining a few times and were shocked at how reasonable the prices were. We also did Dinner Under the Stars with our own private waiter and I'd definitely recommend it. They were able to accommodate my vegetarian diet. One day we got a phone call and received complimentary prosecco and chocolate covered strawberries. We were wowed by this hotel and absolutely recommend it, especially for a special occasion.

The staff here are very committed to customer service. The porters work hard, carrying luggage up and down the many stairs to the property. If you arrive by rental car it can be a little hard to find so talk to reception ahead of time about how to get to the hotel and where to park. Breakfast menu is extensive and served on your balcony with an incredible view. We chose to view the sunsets from our balcony as well vs deal with crowds in Oia, and it was gorgeous! Room/bed were comfortable - the patio chairs were not very comfortable (hard plastic, high sides) but the sun umbrella was great to have so we could enjoy the balcony all times of day. Staff assisted us with restaurant reservations and recommendations on activities. Also, surprised us with a piece of cake on my birthday, very sweet gesture. Very happy with our choice to spend our time in Santorini here!!

This hotel is absolutely amazing - the views are stunning from your balcony and the service from the staff is excellent, nothing is too much trouble. If you're thinking about booking here or Oia, I would choose here because it's much quieter and still has the sunset views. It's also easy to walk into Fira for shopping and the museum (about 40 mins), a little further (2.5hrs) you can walk into Oia. Take trainers and you can walk up the Skaros rock opposite. Take a jumper in October for the evening is cool! We had a senior suite which was well equipped and the toiletries were good. The bed mattress is quite firm but you do get a choice of pillows. The pool is heated in low season. The breakfast menu is extensive, with several vegan options and it is beautifully served on your balcony each morning at your requested time - it's very romantic. We ate at Avocado and Anogi, both were good. The hotel restaurant (Five Senses) food is superb, the waitresses know their food and wine and are happy to advise you. We booked a car through EasyJet with Centauro who were also great - all brand new cars, although parking is limited in Imerovogli we always managed to find a space and it helped us see more of the island villages, beaches and the ancient ruins at Akrotiri. There are plenty of tours if you don't want to drive but the price of a car for a week is very reasonable. We also recommend Santorini sailing for a catamaran cruse and BBQ on the boat. It is a totally relaxing place that you won't want to leave. We'll definitely return, it's up there in my top five holidays in the world!
