Came back for a second trip over to Skeilig Michael. We stayed with Mary and she organised our trip over with Casey. Nearly missed my ceili music this morning but she got the machine working. Mary will have to learn the meaning of the word copious. He breakfasts are just that and more besides. Really enjoyed our short stay. Will be...

We spent two nights with Mary in July and found her B&B perfect for our needs. We had the family room upstairs and it was very clean and comfortable. Having three beds meant each of my daughters had her own bed - an unusual situation on our trip. Mary was kind and welcoming, helping us with anything we needed. She...

The B&B have a wonderful view on the bay of Portmagee. Mary is a perfect hostess and was always very helpful, by providing tips concerning great spots to discover or where to go for the best diner. Also the Breakfast was very nice and diversified. The Room was lovely and there was plenty of space for a family with 2...

A B&B is defined by its atmosphere and service, and we just loved Mary :) It was like visiting an aunt. She brought us snacks and milk for our tea, was patient with me on the phone when I got hopelessly lost, booked us on the boat for the Skelligs tour, showed us an out of the way place for...

This B and B is just up the road from the harbour and has the views you would pay big bucks for in other B and B's or hotels closer to the harbour. Mary will give you a warm welcome and help you get the best out of whatever time you have, from eating out to sights not to miss....

We had a great night in Portmagee. Mary was super helpful. She was able to book me on the Skellig boat trip when I thought it was full. Thanks Mary because it was a simply amazing experience. Send us in the right direction for food and entertainment. The room and bathroom were very clean and a good size. I would...

I’m ashamed to say that this review is well over due. I stayed at the Calafont a few months ago and was totally blown away with the hospitality that I received. I was visiting the area purposely to visit the Skelligs and to become more familiar with what Portmagee and Valentia Island had to offer. Mary was just fantastic. She...

I stayed at this cute little b and b for two nights in August and found it to be just perfect. The host, Mary, is so sweet and tries to help you with any needs you have. I came to Portmagee specifically with the intentions of visiting Skellig Michael, which is always a chancey proposition given the weather. Mary tried...

We stay here 2 nights, and everything was fine. Mary is really kind, the room was spacious and redecorated, the breakfast was good and there's a lovely view from the bow-window. I really recommend it! Portmagee is a little village (few houses) with just 2 place to eat, so make sure to go out for dinner before 9 pm or...

We felt at home as soon as we walked in. Mary is gracious and kind and was eager to make our stay perfect. From calling to make our reservations for Skellig Michael to washing a load of our laundry to guiding us to the local attractions, Mary was wonderful! We highly recommend this B&B!

Mary & Paddy Cartin invite you to stay at their modern and stylish fully equipped home overlooking Valentia Island just off the Ring of Kerry. Dramatic views from all guest rooms are guaranteed. Breakfasts from Mary's famous Full Kerry breakfast to Continental are offered. An ideal base for 3 - 4 day stays.
