This review is long over due. I escaped here in 2009. I was by myself and just needed time away from the states. It was such a great couple of days. The manager was a man from NYC at the time. He was great. I made friends with the other guest and we stayed up all night eating good food...

The setting was beautiful, but yes unfortunately the owner was very deceitful. On the website it says the collection and drop off by owner are free, as well as one trip to an excursion. It wasn't it cost a lot and there is no other option but to use transport as it is so remote. He also said we would...

Very nice place beautiful grounds with lots of olive trees and fruit tree. Fabulous pool nicely equipped with chairs etc. Unfortunately we found the owner Guido a deceitful. Upon arrival we were asked if we wanted something to eat so he gave us a plate of pasta and salad extremely over priced. Breakfast was included but did not start until...

First, the situation is completely different for those who have their on vehicle and for those who don't. We did not have it - and that wasn't the good option. In general the good things are: - micro-location, the landscape, the view, the surrounding, especially to those who are not used to olives, vineyards, hills... - the pool with the...

Stayed here in July of 2011. My partner at the time had enjoyed a previous stay here years earlier so we thought we would try it again. First off, Pistoia was a very sketchy station to be hanging around waiting for our ride. When they got there there was no indication at all that they were from the hostel, I...

Ah Heart of Tuscany. You could be amazing, you could be the best place ever with a little extra effort. My main problem with Heart of Tuscany/Leonardo's Land is the service level. This place is run like a hostel, yes it does have a hostel attached but not everyone is requiring a basic service level so finding a half used...

I could not reccomend this property enough. From the amazing, friendly staff and generous owner to the amazing views and relaxing pool. I wanted an escape from the busy cities I had been exploring and this was perfect for that and so CHEAP... You get the friendliest driver to pick you up from Empoli and drive you through the rolling...

My son and I visited this charming hostel in September/2012. We fell in love with the place. The grounds are just amazing! Breathtaking views of olive groves & vineyards. Authentic Tuscan accommodations (get a cottage). Pure beauty! Good food and wine (though morning coffee needs improvement). Great value for your money. I will be back and Guido thank you for...

My friends and I were lucky enough to get a whole villa to ourselves. Now, if you don't like "nature" aka spiders, you might not like this place. Since we were on a mountain, our villa had a couple spiders. I was fine with it, but others may not be. The staff was always nice to us, except when it...

Ok so for as little as €23.90 per person, per night you can stay in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. There is a lovely pool to enjoy and stunning views to take in... You dont need a car because there is a little village 30 minutes walk away with a great restaurant and little mini market for bits and pieces. Also...
