Detailed Reviews
We have just returned from a 15 day stay in a Ground Floor Apartment , all staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was to much trouble.
The appointment was very clean and tidy and the single beds were very comfortable and clean, the kitchen was well equipped and clean and tidy, there was a walk in shower in the bathroom which was clean and tidy.
The towels were changed every 2 days, and bedding was changed twice a week.
The patio area had a table and chairs and two sun loungers, there was a small pool bar and restaurant. There were two pools ( Adults / small children) with plenty of sun loungers the pool was cleaned daily. The hotel was an ideal location from a Spar supermarket which was open until 9 o'clock 7 days a week, together with Bus stops and Beach and Restaurants. The only negative was the complex does not have free WIFI but you can buy either per day or week at a rate of 5 Euros per day, and 20 Euros per week. I would strongly recommend anyone going to Gran Canaria stay at this hotel you will not be disappointed.

I don't know what I was expecting when we arrived (23/9/21) about midday, main entrance was closed but a note on the door with a phone no. for access. No problem, we were admitted to the hotel and in our room within 15mins. Our room was 107 right opposite the reception, good start. Rooms are basic but clean and serviced every couple of days. Receptionist was excellent, we had 2 problems and she sorted them immediately (remembered her from somewhere, it turned out she works at the Miriam the sister hotel). Supermarket underneath so we could get the basics, wine/beer etc. beach a short walk away down a low gradient with restaurants and bars. Bus stops are near to the hotel for trips out and good value. One of the new rules (Covid inspired) was that each room was allocated their own sun lounger around the pool, that is something that should be carried on.
Reception 10/10
All others, cleaners etc 10/10
Then there is the bar area, for food, drinks and the entertainment provided by the owner, the one and only SIR BONG ( I knighted him last time I was here ) What a great guy, nothing to much trouble. It was a pleasure to meet him again.
Bong 12/10
Overall this place is ideal, peaceful, away from the hustle an bustle of Puerto Rico. (only 4 Euros for a short taxi ride even less on the bus) It was unusually quiet but that is due to restrictions, by the time we left 2 weeks later things seem to be picking up. A great place to stay near one of the best beaches on the island, sunbeds only 4 Euros each so still good value. Highly recommended.

First of all I travel a lot with work and believe in being honest on reviews and not complaining about anything and everything. The complex is a lovely and clean place. No Sunbed wars, as a family of four we went to the pool at all times of the day with no issues getting Sunbed’s. (We were there at the end of July-august). The rooms: ok they could benefit from a bit of an update. They were however very spacious and the maids did a fantastic job. There is a sign in the kitchen area stating it is not the maids job to wash the dishes, I wouldn’t expect them to. As previously stated if staying in summer I would advise on hiring fans. We arrived at 20:15 and there was an envelope waiting for us with the keys and a map to find the room. There was also a number to ring but we didn’t feel we needed to so we went to reception the following morning with passports etc. all the staff are lovely and Bong at Bongs bar is a lovely and funny fella who makes you feel very welcome. His food and drinks are very reasonably priced and if you didn’t want everything on whatever you was ordering he was very accommodating to substitute with other things. The resort is quiet which wasn’t a problem for us as we have friends who live in Puerto Rico so went there most nights but we wanted the quietness during the day. The beach is lovely and some fantastic restaurants around the beach for lunch and evening meal. They close around 22:00-22:30. The beach is a 5 minute walk away. Yes, you do get a bit of a stench that flows through a few times a day but it isn’t the hotel it seemed to be the area but you actually get used to it. Would I stay there again? 100% I would. I was sceptical about the place with reviews I had read but it was far better than I was expecting it to be.

Mum and I arrived mid March with high expectations after reading most of the reviews on here. I requested a room on a high floor and received a kind response. Although I appreciate room requests cannot be guaranteed, we were given the absolute opposite. We were on the ground, backed onto the Spa. Each morning between 6 and 7 you can hear the rumbling of trolleys along the floor as they stack the shelves. Not only that, I could hear every bit of toilet action from the apartment above!
On arrival, first impressions are that the apartments are clean and comfortable. Comfortable they are. Clean, not really. The floors are filthy. We took slipper socks which were black after a couple of days. There was a clean mop in a kitchen cupboard so I mopped the whole apartment myself.
The terrace was huge but as we were on the ground, we had no privacy whatsoever and our view was of the court yard and other apartments. We had our own sun loungers which were a god send in the end!
We had 3 or 4 towel changes in the 10 days we were there. The towels are thin and some were frayed and torn. Beds were changed twice and the pillow cases were half the size of the pillows. Beds however were comfortable.
The kitchen was well equipped which is a good job as we were on lock down after day 3! Bong did a wonderful job of keeping us fed and ‘watered’ and tried to keep spirits up under difficult circumstances.
The pool area was clean with lovely views of the ocean.
Location is perfect. 5 min walk to the beach and restaurants. Add another 20 mins or so if you fancy a walk on the coastal path round to Puerto Rico.
Overall, we were disappointed with these apartments. I’m certainly not used to 5* luxury, but have definitely stayed in better. I think the room location/noise did it for me right from the start and because of that I’d hesitate to rebook.

First time here and first time solo. On arrival the reception was closed but the key had been left taped to the shutters so was able to go straight to my room without messing about checking in. A big bottle of water was left in the fridge which was well appreciated. Apartment was very spacious and clean, the terrace was massive it had 2 sunbeds, a table and 4 chairs and still had loads of room with lovely views of Amadores beach. Room was very clean and I had a bed change and clean after my first night.. pools were very nice but be warned there are no large inflatables allowed. The whole place was very peaceful and relaxing that’s was until an extremely loud family arrived after a few days but hey ho everyone deserves to enjoy themselves I suppose, spoilt it for me a little. Stayed alone in these apartments but everyone was so friendly and I was adopted by the nicest couple ever. But then there was the legendary “Bong” who ran the pool/snack bar he was the most welcoming person I have ever come across and his bbq nights on a Sunday are the best. It’s in perfect distance to Amadores beach only a ten minute walk to get there if that. The area is a lot quieter than round in Puerto Rico but that was what I was looking for. Taxis from PR are approx 6 euros. There is a spar shop directly next to the entrance doors of the hotel which had everything you could need. The only downside I would say is there is no aircon but I did hire a fan for 11 euros for 5 days (normally 15 for the week). And the shower can be a little slippy. All the staff are lovely and try to cater for anything you ask. If you are on a later check out, there is a huge shower room that even has loads of toiletries that I assume previous guests leave behind. I am due to return for Xmas and I absolutely can’t wait..

We have just returned from a 9 night stay here. We were allocated a downstairs ground floor apartment called Lucas which we booked via Travel Republic. It was a really good size. We were fully cleaned every 3 days when the beds were changed but clean towels were also left for us in between on an ad hoc basis. Very clean. We paid extra for the safe - €20 for 9 nights. There was an air con unit in the bedroom but we never used it as it was cool enough in the evenings. You could also leave the patio door on a strap metal opening to leave a gap for air which is too small for anyone to get in which we liked. We didn’t have a clothes dryer so I asked at reception & one appeared the same day. The receptionist was delightful & also allowed us a late check out with the room as we’re being picked up early evening which we paid for. Mr Bong who runs the bar is one of the nicest people you will meet & serves good bar food & drinks. The pool is clean & around 12 meters in length & there is no problem getting a subbed. We booked the accommodation due to the proximity of the beach as Amadores beach is our favourite & it takes a 9 minute stroll down to it. €12 for 2 beds & a brolly. Ate out at the little restaurants around the bay & never had a bad meal. However the Spar shop is under the apartments & is great for getting basics. This is good value, clean accommodation with caring staff.

A lovely friendly hotel. Shame that due to a family emergency we had to leave after 4 days. Staff were really helpful, booking taxi and cancelling transfers etc.
Rooms are lovely and spacious, had everything you needed, including a bottle of water in the fridge, had a big terrace, with 2 sunbeds plus table and chairs. Was quiet but put that down to covid.
Bong at the pool bar makes everyone's holiday extra special - what a fantastic guy. Always happy, friendly and helpful.
1 thing I liked was that each room had 2 beds by the pool with the room numbers on so there was enough beds for everyone.
Amadores was v quiet in the evenings so we walked to Puerto Rico, only took about 35-40 mins along the coast walk.

Our first stay in Amadores, the hotel staff are all really friendly and the complex is kept really clean. Maid is in the room every other day. Our disappointment is not having much sun on our terrace, the sun doesn't come on our terrace til late morning the hides behind a large Bush for most of the afternoon 😏 As previous reviews Bong is super friendly behind the bar. The location is a short walk downhill to the beautiful beach. It was much busier than I expected for March but still spare sun beds or beach to sit on. There is a coastal path into Puerto Rico, which takes about 20 minutes. There is also a walk to the next 2 beaches on the other side, bit more off the beaten track, but a nice change. Loads of restaurants surround the beach, our favourite was Blue Beach, reasonably priced, friendly staff that weren't in your face. We usually come to Gran Canaria this time of year, the weather is around the mid 20's, Amadores is a bit more expensive than the bigger resorts, but worth a visit.

The apartment was huge! We had a 2 bedroom. 1st bedroom is 2 single beds with a wardrobe and PLENTY of room. The 2nd bedroom is 2 beds pushed together, 2 bedside cabinets and a built-in wardrobe. The kitchenette has everything you need (toaster, kettle, microwave, 2 hobs + small fridge freezer), a dining table, then the lounge, with a pullout bed-settee. The balcony is accessible via the 2nd bedroom and the lounge and is a lovely size, includes 2 sunbeds, a table and chairs set and a rail for drying towels/swimsuits. The bathroom is a good size, the shower area is a little dark, but you get used to it. The pool is a sufficient size, not massive but wasn't busy at all. Sun loungers were available throughout the day (without reserving at 6am!) The best part is the location. It's literally around 800 steps to the beach from the hotel! It's down a gentle incline and there's lovely sea views. The ONLY negative is there's no air conditioning, but I don't mind that, just something my husband wanted. There is no animation or entertainment at all, but it's 6 euro to get a taxi to the main shopping centre, or slightly less to the closer Europa centre. Both which have plenty of bars and restaurants.

Relaxing and enjoyable, Hotel is very clean with comfortable beds, lots of space in the rooms, shower was always nice and warm. Room was cleaned every day and even had the bedding changed after 3 days and was only there a week.
Always space around the pool, pool was a little chilly but once you’re in it’s fine . Bong who runs the pool bar was great.
Lots of nice restaurants on the beach front which is about 5/10 minutes walk. Blue Beach is definitely recommended. For a more lively night take a cab up to the Europa centre 5 euros in a cab or half hour walk up hill. We walk the costal path to Puerto Rico which took us 50mins so a cab back, again only 5 euros.
Reception not open much so if you arrive when they are not there they put your key in an envelope with your name on and stick it to the shutter, not a problem. Only fault we had was the fire alarm went off at 8.40am and took an hour and 20mins to be turned off, as no one was in reception to turn it off. Glad that didn’t happen in the night 🙈
But definitely a chilled out place to visit and would go back.

Email the apartments they will be more than happy to help you, but there is a dividing wall in most of the apartment just depends how private you want it
There is a Spar shop underneath the apartment I've never had a problem with the change issues, easy just pay with card
