We were very excited considering all the really positive reviews. The accommodation is in a fairly good location to the beach, easy walk. Taxi 5€ to Peurto Rico. Location - if front facing, very noisy with traffic, bin lorries and deliveries from 430am until very late at night. The apartments - very very basic, clean, really need upgraded, really grouting, replace cracked tiles, add air conditioning. Very much in need of comfy beds and decent pillows, we both had very sore backs by the end of the week. What makes this place is Bong who runs Bongs bar on site and his famous Sunday night BBQ. Bong is a star! We would not stay again but was a pleasant enough stay. Shame really as these apartments have a lot of potential.

This place is a hidden gem. Small complex with around 45 rooms. 1st impressions of the hotel on arrival was it looked beautiful as the colour of the stone blended perfectly in with rocks. Check in was completed in seconds. We had a ground floor apartment which was very spacious and clean. Outside the room were tables and chairs and 2 sunloungers. Had everything we needed for a self catering apparently down to washing up liquid and scourers supplied plus an abundance of crockery and saucepans. 5 min walk down to the beach which also had plenty of eating places and gift shops along the beach. Food was amazing in these restaurants and on par with the prices back home. Visited Mogan, Puerto Rico and Maspalomas during out stay. All resorts were lovely, but Mogan and Amadores were the quieter ones which suited us. Plenty to do out there from Dolphin boat trips to off road buggies. Very clean island, and people were lovely. Back to the hotel...pool small but was always quiet so no complaints there. Bar/snack bar on site by pool. Happy hour is 4-5pm every day and Bong is always to hand with a smile. Lovely snacks cooked freshly and reasonably priced too. BBQ every Sunday eve, unfortunately we didn't have this as we had eaten earlier in the evening. Smelt lovely though. Will definitely return to this complex without hesitation and already looking to book for next year.

After looking at various reviews we decided on the Terraza Amadores Apartments - from the moment we arrived staff were very friendly room was very clean tidy and had all the needs for a self catering holiday - The beach is only a very short walk balconies all catch the sun at some point - supermarket is situated underneath the complex which stocks a whole range of goods to suit all tastes

Great large apartment. Basic but has everything that you need for a great self catering holiday A couple times there was a problem with the hot water but told reception and it got sorted. Lovely clean pool that we used on a daily basis although sun beds and parasols could do with an upgrade. Pool bar and resturant staffed by the friendly Bong. He was always there with a smile and ready for a chat. Food wasn’t bad either Spar shop right by complex so easy to buy what you needed without having to walk far Amadores beach 5 mins walk No air con in the apartment but you could hire one I believe if you wanted to - we just left the door open. A bit of an upgrade all over might refresh this complex but then I suppose prices would need to go up. Overall, if you are looking for a great priced apartment near to Amadores beach, you couldn’t go far wrong by coming here.

Our first stay in Amadores, the hotel staff are all really friendly and the complex is kept really clean. Maid is in the room every other day. Our disappointment is not having much sun on our terrace, the sun doesn't come on our terrace til late morning the hides behind a large Bush for most of the afternoon 😏 As previous reviews Bong is super friendly behind the bar. The location is a short walk downhill to the beautiful beach. It was much busier than I expected for March but still spare sun beds or beach to sit on. There is a coastal path into Puerto Rico, which takes about 20 minutes. There is also a walk to the next 2 beaches on the other side, bit more off the beaten track, but a nice change. Loads of restaurants surround the beach, our favourite was Blue Beach, reasonably priced, friendly staff that weren't in your face. We usually come to Gran Canaria this time of year, the weather is around the mid 20's, Amadores is a bit more expensive than the bigger resorts, but worth a visit.
