I've stayed here many times, however, the apartments are getting very tired due to lack of maintenance. Ceilings with water stains, bathrooms in disrepair, and worst of all cockroaches everywhere. We were located in the back row, which had long term rentals with dogs, which barked at all hours. The nightly & very loud bingo caller in the shopping centre at 18.30 doesn't help either. MonteCarlo apartments is a group of owners, some who do short term rentals, whereas others do longer term rentals. The existing property management company has terminated it's contract due to property owners arguing about maintenance & running costs. If you book this hotel, just be aware of the uncertainty over the whole complex. When you book through TA or Booking, you book with an individual owner, not the hotel itself.

We first stayed here in 2018 and as we’d enjoyed our stay decided to book again with our two adult daughters. On our first visit we found the apartments clean and comfortable but unfortunately the same couldn’t be said for our recent stay. The apartment was extremely grubby, lots of mould in the bathroom, dirty mattresses, shabby decor, bedside lights hanging from the wall, layers of dust everywhere and a constant unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Many reviews have said the apartments were spotless but this was far from the truth in our experience. We stayed for one week and although our towels were replaced the beds weren’t changed at all which was unacceptable. We had a leak in our bathroom which was coming through the light in the kitchen area and there was no way to contact a member of staff as the reception was rarely open and there was no contact details for emergencies. I managed to find a number online that turned out to be the owner of a private apartment on the complex and he gave me the number for contacting a staff member. Someone did come within half an hour and sorted the issue but it has clearly been a problem before as there was a large water stain on the kitchen ceiling when we first arrived. Having said all this I must mention Juan who ran the pool bar, he was extremely friendly and the food and prices were excellent. It’s a real shame that these apartments have gone downhill because the location is excellent for all the local facilities and with some TLC it could be as good as it was on our first visit.

We stayed here for a short break, returning on 02/12/21. Basic rooms, very clean, staff so friendly, especially the bar manager. If you like lively music ,great food and shopping, then the location is ideal, which for me ,was perfect! We would definitely stay here again...all in all,had a fab holiday!

The apartment was on two levels as described by a previous review. We had a couple of minor issues with the apartment during our stay which were resolved promptly by Luis. Juan who runs the pool bar is a joy. His wife Pino and a colleague look after the rooms and are really friendly and helpful. The staff are all dedicated to the success of the complex. Unfortunately, there was a big down side for us. The complex is directly opposite the Puerto Rico Shopping Centre which comes alive at night with bars playing loud music/karaoke until the early hours so if you are a light sleeper earplugs are the order of the day. Surprisingly the reviews I read didn't mention this. Having said all this the apartments are ideally situated for the local bus station which has an excellent choice of destinations on the island at unbelievable bus fare prices. Sadly we won't be staying at Montecarlo Apartmentos again, but would recommend them if you are a sound sleeper!

My husband, my friend and I stayed here from the 6th to the 20th of July. This was a last minute booking, as our other apartments where cancelled a week before flying. 780 for 3 people for 2 weeks in a 2 bed duplex. The apartment was basic but spotless. Bed was comfy, and towels made into little swans. The kitchen had everything. 4 ring hob, kettle, toaster, microwave, pots and pans. Loads of cutlery and cups, glasses and plates. Also a coffee maker. Dish soap there for you for dishes and hot water at all times. Full fridge frezzer. Flat screen TVs with over 50 channels. All in Spanish. Downstairs toilets and upstairs shower and toilet. Plenty of storage. Lovely large balcony but view partly blocked by apartments in front. The pool was small for the size of the complex and needed more cleaning daily. Not enough sun beds for everyone. And even if you got down early and left for lunch other people would move them off. The majority of guests where spainish, which they made us feeling we where in the way but this was out of control from management. We had a issue with our upstairs toilet being loose and this was seen to and resolved in the same day. Wi-Fi is weak but free and safe was charged only at 20 euro as not many tourists. Juan on the pool bar was so nice and friendly. I got attached by mosquitoes the 1st night and checked on me regularly till I felt better. He couldn’t of been nicer. The main cleaner lady, I didn’t get her name was also very helpful. Perfectly located right across from old shopping centre on the flat.

Great hotel, good food and helpful staff. Our flight got in 5 hours late and the lady on reception had the chef plate up two cold platters(thank you). Rooms are clean and modern with a nice big shower for two, our suite had a jacuzzi on the balcony which was used a couple of times. Nice big beds. Good services in the hotel with a gym, sauna and spa. There is also free wifi and a self use laundry if you need it. Transfer from the airport is about 50 minutes. Worth using the hotel car hire as its 100% cover and ask for a car with a Satnav. All in all you could not ask for more. 1 outside pool with a big jacuzzi and a sun terrace with a day sun and a bar 8am till 13.00.

We were a bit disappointed with the apartment as it needs to be updated. Furniture quiet old and out dated. Pool bar was closed for repairs but nothing was done to it while we where there. I would recommend these apartments for there location as it's on ground level.
