We had a wonderful week at The Marinabayview. The apartment was lovely. The kitchen are was well equipped, not that we used much of it - just the fridge, the kettle, cups and glasses! The view of the Marina from our balcony was beautiful. Being adults only meant that the pool area was very peaceful and relaxing. It was very clean too. We didn't eat at the hotel. There was a buffet breakfast. They only served food between 1pm and 4pm and the bar closed at7pm. That didn't matter as there were lots of lovely restaurants nearby. We usually had breakfast at an Irish bar called Durty Nelly's. It was really good and reasonably priced too. All the restaurants we ate dinner in were really good. The steps up and down from the hotel were a bit of a killer, however, we knew about them before we went. Our calf muscles were almost getting used to them by the end of the week. We genuinely had a lovely time and would certainly recommend the hotel to anyone going to Puerto Rico. …

We had the best time at Marina Bayview we didn't want to leave! Such a chilled out resort with excellent service. The apartment was great, with everything you would need and a huge balcony with gorgeous views. Beds including the sofa bed were comfy. Breakfast and lunch were delicious, great choice, fresh and great quality just wished they served food and drink in the evening as we would of stayed in more. Their club sandwich was superb!! The service of the whole team was first class, especially the bar team. Incredibly helpful, friendly and efficient. The whole resort was spotless and maintained to a very high standard. As the accomodation is on the hillside there are steps, but we coped by taking it easy, and enjoying the views. It forced us to walk slowly and slow down! There's a lift in the hotel, so the steps are really only an issue when heading out. We genuinely had a great time, and would highly recommend the accommodation to anyone travelling to Purto Rico, looking to chill out and feel relaxed. …

Beautiful apartments, clean, comfortable. Balcony over looking the pool and marina. Pool area well maintained. Staff friendly and helpful. Any issues we had were quickly resolved. Great location, but a lot of steps to get down to the marina and restaurants. This wasn’t an issue for us but could imagine it could be for some. Are calf muscles have definitely had a good work out and knew about it after the first day! Maybe do some calf stretches before you go! We opted for bed and breakfast and we were happy with the selection, buffet style. My partner prefers a cooked “English” breakfast and he was happy with this, but I found the bacon a bit tough for my taste. The fresh fruit was beautiful, cereals, continental, fresh orange juice, pastries, different types of bread, yoghurts. Only draw back was that you weren’t able to get an evening meal at the hotel and the bar closes at 7pm. They are self catering apartments so we were planning on heading out most nights. There are some excellent restaurants just at the bottoms of the steps of the hotel and I would advice anyone wishing to eat out to give these a try as the ones we tried really were excellent.…

The resort was potless, attractive, clean and great value. Breakfast had a splendid variety (and we are vegetarian). We thought it started a bit late (for us), but we quickly adapted and made use of the ample gym before hand. We enjoyed the odd glass of prosecco and I particularly enjoyed the churros. Equipment in the room of good use and space and arrangement of the apartment was perfect for us. Two televisions- bit excessive for us. But great to have options. Only improvements would be the coffee at breakfast. It didn't have much flavour. However, we were easily able to make our own with a filter system in the kitchen. Daqueris at poolside lethal (in a good way) and delectable. Friday night entertainment perfect! I am a singer/songwriter and the singer was talented in range and tone. Plus the styles and types of songs were far reaching in terms of genre and diversity- bravo! Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Shop nearby and place situated well in terms of eating options. We also had some very cute tabby kittens living nearby, who liked to mew at us and pop their head in occasionally.…

Spent a week here in May, fantastic accommodation, great location and helpful staff. The only problem is other guests reserving sunbeds from 7am and not using at all or until early afternoon, staff says it is monitored but isn’t really!

Hotel good ,busy pool area , with the normal dawn rush to bag the best beds! Restaurant is the main downside , only opens 1 till 4 for food, stop serving drinks at 7 pm and staff are poor, achieving a high level of not seeing you when you request service.. Second visit in 6 months, will not be returning unless quality of customer service can be show to have improved

I arrived a few days ago with family and we couldn’t recommend enough. The beds are very comfortable and the shower is great. We got robes, slippers and beach/pool towels in our room on arrival. Bath towels are replaced every morning and beds are changed every few days. Pool area is wonderful (no fighting for beds!) and the pool bar has some great food. The steps down to the marina are a lot so maybe not so great for someone with disabilities however there are always taxis down at the marina. Staff and other guests are all so friendly with it being an adults only hotel and we couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. Would definitely recommend!

This was our 5th time visiting Puerto Rico out first time at the Marina Bay View having previously stayed at the Morosol. Suffice to say we will be coming back and will definitely be returning to this wonderful hotel. The whole experience was first class from booking in to checking out. All of the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. We booked a Select Apartment and emailed the hotel in advance asking for the best view possible. We were placed at the highest level close to reception and the view was truly beautiful. The apartment was light, spacious and well maintained. The hotel is adults only meaning the pool area was tranquil and relaxing. I do feel there may be a sun lounger issue during peak times but the lifeguard (what a job!!!) was very diligent in placing notices on any beds unused for any longer than 45 minutes. Special mention to the exceptional restaurant and bar by the pool. We had coffee, cocktails and smoothies every day and they were all delicious. We also had lunch every day and the food was varied and wonderful. The poke bowls were one of the many highlights of our holiday. The steps to the hotel would be absolutely challenging for anybody with mobility issues but we are a couple in out late 50's and managed them with only a few periodic profanities! The view more than compensates for the painful knees! This was a great and much needed break and we loved every second of it.…

Just home from a weeks stay at Marina Bayview and to be honest, our holiday was a bit spoiled by the poor customer service skills of the staff at this hotel. I just want to start off by saying this hotels facilities are pretty good - nice rooms, nice pool area with pool bar and everywhere is kept clean and tidy. It’s in a good location too, lots of different areas to go to for drinks and food. However, right from day one the staff couldn’t care less about the different issues we faced detailed below. We arrived at around 11pm and there was no staff except from a security guard on reception. He made it clear he didn’t speak English. He gave us our room key etc and sent us on our way with no directions or didn’t show us where to go. The place at first was quite difficult to get around with lots of stairs and different sections for different rooms, so took us a bit of time to find our room. Then the room door lock was broken and I had to report it to the security guard who quite clearly couldn’t be bothered helping because of how late it was. Eventually he phoned someone who just said, “yeah wait until the morning and we’ll sort it for you”. So we had to sleep in a room that was unlocked the whole night but we were assured it was safe (which means absolutely nothing to me). Reported it in the morning to reception staff, I asked for a new room to be told “it is too busy at this time in the morning to change rooms, so we will have to discuss this later”. They sent a repair man to fix the door and I had to negotiate with reception to at least get the safe for free (which by the way, was my idea. Nice to know I’m doing receptions job for them and coming up with solutions). Later came back to discuss getting a new room, to be told that it’s just not happening. So, I decided to let it go at this point as I just wanted to enjoy my first day on holiday. Returned back to the room to discover that the door still didn’t operate fully as I could literally just yank the door open and the lock would come loose but I just decided to leave it as I could tell the staff honestly couldn’t care less. Other points to make are; cleaning services only came in 3 times throughout the week which I think is poor, I had to ask one afternoon for clean towels so we could have a shower and we were told no, we will have to wait until the morning. We also had to go out and ask for toilet roll because of the lack of cleaning visits. Breakfast at the pool bar wasn’t great food really, I’ve had worse to be fair but it was definitely over priced as well. We could go out and get a nicer breakfast for cheaper. Last thing was; on the night before we left, we discovered that the cleaning service had been in and damaged my partners Apple Watch charger which was plugged in. They’ve obviously not bothered to move it while making the bed and yanked it out the wall in the process and it has now damaged it. The charger no longer works and I’ve checked apple website, the charger costs £55. Reported this to reception, the gent was more shocked at the cost of the charger than the fact the cleaners careless attitude damaged our property. He said “yes, we will need to report this to housekeeping in the morning”. That was it, never heard anything back so that’s us down £55 for a new charger, just to top off the holiday nicely I guess! Overall, a nice place to stay but spoiled by staff who aren’t interested in sorting problems and making their guests comfortable. Also, 90% have really poor English, which really didn’t help with the issues we had. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel and I bet there are way better resorts to stay in for similar money.…

The Hotel welcome and Reception sets off what superb Hotel this is. We had a Room with balcony overlooking pool and Marina and Sea. The Rooms were fantastic, clean spacious we had Bed n Breakfast and Breakfast layout around pool bar was so nice. Food lovely plenty choice. .. pool area so tidy and Clean all round a fantastic stay in area were bar and restaurants are a plenty. And Beaches local too. Top stay fully recommended
