Just arrived back from this hotel/apartments 13/01/22, this is adults only, very quiet, lovely, clean, and all staff are brilliant, and friendly, Lucy, is fab, the rooms get cleaned 6 days a week, and beds are done every 4 days, Now here come the bad points If you are classed as disabled this place is definitely a no no, No matter what level your room is on, you have to get the lift/lifts, and after coming out of 1 lift, you have to walk, to the other (200 yrds) or so, now if the lifts are out of order, (which they was one day) you have well over 200 steps to climb, pending what floor your on we was on the 7th floor, Food at the pool bar is very nice, but could do with abit more choices, To get to reception when you arrive may be a task, it's either a a long drive way, which is steep, or there's about 30 or so steps, and your transfers do not come down the drive way, unless its a private transfer My overall opinion of Ocean Hill, is good, but I would not stay again, I recommend asking for a room near the top

We stayed 4 nights at Ocean Hill from 31 Dec 21-4 Jan 22 in room 710 (self catering.) The appartment has everything you could need for a self-catering break. Was worried about room 710 being on the same floor as the infinity pool/evening bar area but needn't have worried as it is generally a quiet, peaceful hotel (until the construction work starts at Puerto Azul!). It is a warren however and we needed to take 3 lifts to get from reception on the top floor (15) to our room on floor 9 (still no idea why our room number started with a 7!) We were only here a short time so didn't fully find our bearings. Had hoped they might offer us the option to have breakfast some mornings or dinner but that didn't happen so no idea what the food was like and we stocked our fab fridge (very cold for drinks) with goodies from the nearby supermarket (Hiperdino) in the Europa centre. We did have a couple of drinks at the bar and they were reasonably priced. The 'entertainment' on New Year's Eve left a lot to be desired. We could hear it from our balcony unfortunately. He then proceeded to celebrate at 11pm, saying it was midnight across most of Europe and stopped at 11.45pm, missing the actual bells! Speaking of the balconies, ours was massive and quite private, with a table and chairs plus 2 sun loungers and a parasol. It got the sun from approximately 0900-1600, and luckily we were there during a mini heatwave of 27 degrees+ so I made the most of it! The aircon could have been better, the room did get really warm at times, even with the curtains closed and the aircon on. Appartment has a separate bedroom area with fitted wardrobes. Lack of drawer storage, but we managed. The safe has an actual key, which seems a bit nuts in this day and age. You pay a deposit for the safe and for the pool towels (refundable) plus a couple of euros per day to rent the safe/towels. The lighting in the bathroom was good (great for putting on make up) and the hairdrier did the job. As always, no plug point near a mirror! My only complaint is that the shower bracket was broken so you had to rig it up or hold the shower head constantly and the shower tray was too shallow meaning it was hard to keep the bathroom floor dry. Small details that didn't detract from the holiday. We walked down the steps at the far side of the Puerto Azul construction site to get down to Puerto Rico beach a couple of times. It's a long walk, and definitely easier on the way down! we came back via Amadores beach/hill one day and up the steps another. You need to be fit. Had dinner at the Europa Centre most nights and Picasso the other evening. Much of a muchness in terms of menus/price. That was the first time we'd ever been away for New Year and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Would probably try another hotel next time unless we got a really good deal on this one.

Here for a week nice but nothing special. Apartments are clean, ladies that cleaned room and change towels and bedding regularly. We were all inclusive but found it very poor for food which was served lukewarm not hot not much variety and drinks were poor quality, self catering seemed to get the better quality drinks. Nice views but nothing to do pools nice and poolbar closed at 6.30 music was repeat of same cd unless the British barmaid was on duty great music and good banter she also worked in restaurant very good customer service along with one other lady. Boring f you didn’t go out and our reason was to have a chilled break in hotel on all inclusive. The apartment door was broken and no aircon reported at reception but never fixed. No Christmas decorations like other places and last night of our stays guy with a saxophone played for 1 hour no audience contact didn’t take his coat or hat off played and switched off left. We have travelled all over the world but found this a place we wouldn’t return to I understand the pandemic is here but other hotels had music, turns etc on the only thing we liked were the two ladies one British one Spanish who were great and the manat reception who printed our locator forms pleasant and helpful fellow in the evening.

What a fabulous week we had. Perfect location for us to chill and celebrate our Silver wedding anniversary. Just could not fault anything, staff fantastic, hotel so clean. Breakfast was excellent each day, fresh cooked omelette on request was my favourite with lovely fresh bread and beef tomatoes followed by churos and banana yoghurt. My wife just loved scrambled eggs toast and cooked plum tomatoes. Lunch and dinner was fine just a snack at lunch for me but Mrs M loved the salads and just tucked into them, unfortunately I’m a bit fussy but still managed to have something I enjoyed each evening. Thanks to reception for sorting and printing our passenger locator forms. Covid regulations in place all over the Hotel made you feel really safe Really loved the week hope to return sometime. Could not pick out any individual as everyone was fabulous. Well done Ocean Hill fantastic week.

This is the second time we have stayed at Ocean Hill but I would say we had a better room/stay on our previous visit. Decent sized room & balcony including sun loungers. Facilities include kettle, toaster, fridge & microwave. English channel offering was Sky news. Parking available which is a plus point in this area. We had a couple of problems with the room - poor wifi that struggled at all times and a shower that didn’t drain properly and flooded the bathroom. Reported both to reception but we still had the same issue with the bathroom a couple of days later and the wifi never got better. An OK hotel and we will probably use again as the parking is handy but be aware the facilities aren’t brilliant.
