Really enjoyed our stay. Lovely traditional pub but with a modern twist. Restaurant was great with a good choice and quality food. Like the ambiance with jazz playing in the background. Our room was spacious if a little tired. The only negative was the size of bathroom, tiny shower with poor pressure. All in all a great little find with...

Arriving at the Seven Stars Inn for a four day stay I was welcomed at reception by Claire who was so helpful in checking me into my comfortable room with its Tea and coffee making facilities and shower en suite. Its window is double glazed so there were no problem noises to disturb my nights sleep. A good selection of...

6 of us had a wonderful evening last night in The Seven Stars! Beautiful decor and delicious food 😊! Menu made it difficult to choose as everything was tempting . I enjoyed the calamari followed by the dressed crab for mains, finished with a gorgeous cheesecake. We all enjoyed our evening, thank you to the chef and staff!

Description of how to get there, good. First impressions were ok... Bedrooms require some TLC, bathroom small for larger person, toilet seat wanders left right and wherever .... Chose to eat in - food was well prepared very tasty and looked good... Happy... Breakfast was same as evening meal - well prepared and a good sized start to the day....

My wife and I had dinner at the Seven Stars Inn on Friday 12 August. We arrived around 1730, and had the restaurant to ourselves for the first half-hour or so. The service was excellent, the food was wonderful, and it was a very very pleasant experience overall. We didn't see any on-site parking, but we were able to park...

My husband and I had been driving on the road for several hours when I began to feel tired and decided we´d better find somewhere to rest for the night. The first few places we tried in Durham were full but then a barmaid recommended The Seven stars Inn to us. The hostess was very gracious, she gave us a...

Stopped overnight as I was visiting Durham. Online booking was great as was the checking in at the hotel. Free wifi that actually works :) The bar is lovely and outside is beautiful with flowers. So if the weather is nice this Inn is perfect. Very handy for Durham and the price is fantastic. Would return without any hesitation.

Stayed for 2 nights, hardly slept a wink due to noise of traffic and other guests. Bed uncomfortable, shower room too small to swing a cat in. Parts of the room seemed grimy. It was very poor value for the money. I intend to write to the owners, but I've been very ill since returning from Shincliffe. Shincliffe is a...

We have dined here a couple of times in the last six weeks. On each occasion the food has been of a very good standard and the service was efficient and friendly without being overbearing. Their on line booking system works well and had a happy and relaxed time.

A lovely village to walk round, and at lunchtime we decided to try the Seven Stars. At first we thought it was closed as the front door was shut, but on seeing another couple go in we followed. Perhaps it could be made more obvious when open, but judging by the numbers that came in, it must be well known!...
