I recently returned from a lovely 3 night stay at Thorngarth, Dave and Sally's delightful B&B. I visited to walk the Yorkshire 3 peaks with family, and Dave and Sally couldn't have been more hospitable. We received a warm welcome on arrival, and Dave was ready to offer some useful tips and vital local knowledge to help us prepare for...

We stayed for three nights, using Thorngarth Country GH as a base to walk the three peaks. The location is excellent. Parking could be a bit tight for some if you arrive at a busy time, but Dave will help. Well appointed rooms, excellent food at dinner and breakfast (licensed to enjoy a glass of wine with dinner). We were...

We booked for the May Day Bank Holiday weekend. There was parking space available when we arrived and Dave greeted us warmly, carried my heavy case upstairs and showed us to the lovely Malham room on the first floor. It is a large, tastefully decorated room with a large comfy bed, large shower and a lovely view to the field...

We have always wanted to stay in and around Ingleton to explore the area. In the past we have only had a quick stop here at this lovely village on our way to the Lake District. We chose Thorngarth because of its location close to the village and it's great reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed with our...

Thank you for your comprehensive review following your stay at Thorngarth House. Sally and I tend to have scores on the doors as to who has the most references to their cooking. Sally does the evening meals and I do the breakfasts. Happy wife equals happy life so I am happy to concede that she has received more plaudits.!! Kind...

A wonderful place to stay - close to village amenities and lots of useful advice from Dave and Sally about walks and places to eat etc. Breakfasts very good. Plenty to do in Ingleton and lots of walking right from the door. My only grumble is the rather feeble shower but apart from that I would have no hesitation in...

Thank you for your review following your stay at Thorngarth House. Being and old Victorian House, we have calibrated our en suite showers as best as we can including pressurised shower heads etc etc. During the 17 years at Thorngarth House, this is a first, but can understand that today's power showers are very enjoyable if you are fortunate enough...

The ensuite rooms are comfortable if a bit small and an excellent breakfast. We went to the Masons' Arms for supper only ten minute walk; good pub grub and a great atmosphere. The house is in a lovely situation though on a busy road, but is well insulated and one is not aware of traffic noise. A most enjoyable two...

We have just returned from our fourth visit to Thorngarth Guest House and again we were made very welcome by Sally and Dave. We have spent four nights being thoroughly spoilt with excellent food, a comfortable bed and spotlessly clean en suite room at this lovely friendly guest house in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. What more could we ask for....

Thank you very much for again visiting Sally and I at Thorngarth House. It is really humbling that over 70% of our guests are returning or recommended guests. Apart from the comfortable stay at Thorngarth House, there is so much to see and do in around the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and surrounding areas. Regards Dave & Sally

Great weekend stay at Thorngarth - could not fault the hospitality of David and Sally. Excellent breakfast and great recommendation of La Cascada in the village for dinner. Lots of great walks on the doorstep - would not hesitate to book again.

“I was staying with a group of friends and the rooms were filled by others in the group, so I was accommodated in the private part of the owners home, which I think was very kind of them to allow this to happen and I was very comfortable there, even though it was not ensuite, I had a private bathroom and toilet. ”
