We booked not knowing what to expect but the advertising of this gorgeous hidden delight does not do it justice. The owners were hugely welcoming and tripping over themselves to make sure our every need was met. As a family we could not have asked for a more picturesque and relaxing place to stay. The Guinnee pigs were very cute...

Highly recommend this guesthouse. We stayed in a family room (Old Mill Office) for two nights and couldn't have been happier with our experience. Overall, the room was nicely decorated and clean. The bed was huge and comfortable and the children were delighted with the bunk beds, tucked away in an alcove behind a curtain. The bathroom was spacious and...

Lovely place to stay - enjoyed it a lot. When we stayed there was some alterations being carried out, so we had to check in/out outside, but I'm sure that this is only temporary. The room was lovely , compact but clean and comfortable with all necessary facilities. Breakfast was a bit of a disaster, as there is only an...

Glad you enjoyed your stay in The Hayloft room. It is our smallest double - and we do have larger rooms for those requiring more space for a longer stay. I am sorry that the day you were here you had to wait a long time for your breakfast. We cook everything fresh to order , and on that day...

Had a very nice stay at Burcott Mill Guesthouse and stayed in the expansive Old Mill Office with a great on-suite. Daughter and friend stayed in the Hayloft which was equally good. Breakfast was excellent and a very warm welcome from Steve & Louise. Will come back next time we're in Somerset.

This delightful old guest house is situated just a few minutes drive from Wells, a charming city being the smallest city in England, don't miss the cathedral as its stunning. The accommodation is comfortable and clean, the hosts Louise & Steve make you feel very welcome. This is one of the very few working mills in England, producing flour which...

Pleased to get a family room with private bathroom at short notice. However, access to the Granary room was round the back, very narrow and up a steep staircase - not the most attractive of entrances and somewhat ''separate" and disappointing when compared to photos of the charming and historical millhouse on the website. The owners were friendly and breakfast...

Thanks for your review - glad you enjoyed your visit and the breakfast. Sorry you were disappointed with your room. The Granary is the only room that is not ensuite - which we always disclose clearly on booking, and it is priced accordingly. You are right that the private bathroom itself is in need of some updating - we have...
