Food was lovely and not too expensive. Staff very friendly. Rooms very clean and comfortable with fantastic views. Breakfast was excellent Couldn't fault this place at all, would be wonderful in the summertime as the garden looked lovely with views to die for.

First time stay at The Huntsman Inn for us and a couple of our friends. We stayed in room 9, a small double with fantastic views, bathroom with bath and over-bath shower. Plenty of piping hot water, and heating which could be switched on whenever we wanted. Our friends stayed in room 15, a large family room (no double rooms... More

Looking for a dog friendly place to eat some great food? Then this is the place for you. When I checked before booking that dogs were allowed and was told yes, but only on the paved area, I thought we would be crammed into a small 'reserved' area. I couldn't have been more wrong. Most of the pub is paved... More

Slightly remote and just outside Holmfirth, (taxi) but a great peaceful location with wonderful views. Large car park and good wifi (for business user). Great evening meal and breakfast. The staff were very good and no problems

We called in for lunch with our toddler daughter. The staff were very helpful, getting us a highchair and making sure that we were comfortable. The food was fantastic and the pub itself is lovely. Definitely worth a visit

We were invited to a engagement party by my partners work friend. As it was about an hours drive away for us we decided to book a room and stay the night. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised, the inn was in a really beautiful spot with fantastic views, we checked in and went to our room and must... More

We called in for a meal on our way home and was extremely impressed. The food and service was lovely. Everything was really fresh tasting and there was an excellent choice of wine. We've recommended The Huntsman to our friends and family and would definitely go back.

The Huntsman manages to cobine an authentic old charm with a clean, airy feel. We stayed the weekend in the family rom which was more than big enough for two adults, teo kids and our dog Oscar. The staff went over and above to please us and the food was excellent. Definitely recommended

Stayed here whilst visiting family in Huddersfield for the weekend. From the moment I emailed them about availability, to the minute we checked out, Stewart and his staff went out of their way to provide some of the best service we've ever received. He re-arranged rooms, so we could stay there with our dog. He was on hand with advice... More
