This is so much more than your average B&B. The location is brilliant - close enough to town and the train station to walk (very easily), but far enough to be quiet. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is fabulous. I have stayed here for 3 consecutive years because I like it - my company would prefer to book...

After a mix up with our booking through Late Rooms we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rowanbank. We had a room on the front of the house with a very comfortable four poster bed and a two seat sofa to watch TV on! Breakfast was lovely and cooked to order with lovely coffee! The landlady, Sarah, was lovely lady and...

Had a lovely stay here on our way to the highlands. The rooms were large and all very clean. The wifi was great. It was in Annan which helped as we walked into town to get an evening meal. The parking is a bit limited but you can park for free on the road outside. The hosts were helpful and...

Stayed here 4 or 5 times now with three children, so large room accommodated the five of us. Lovely guest house, very clean and good breakfast. We usually eat at Meggano's as it is a play on daughters name 'Megan'. Highly recommend and we will continue to stay here.

It smelt a little musty when we first entered, maybe because of the torrential downpours at the time, but in fact it was perfectly clean and well-kept. A comfortable room with all the usual facilities, a good breakfast, and...

Five of us stopped over here for the night and were very pleasantly surprised. Sarah the owner is very helpful and friendly, the house is beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. Everything you could want or need and the cooked breakfast was excellent. Thoroughly recommended

A wee hidden gem. Wide range of breakfast from cereal and fruit juice to full breakfast which was cooked to perfection. Room with ensuite shower and toilet -excellent. Location a minutes walk from train station on Glasgow to Carlisle/Newcastle line. High street us a 5 minute walk to shops. All in a place I'd recommend to travellers.
