Stayed a couple of nights here. Room was extremely comfortable, breakfast was excellent and the hosts Jan and Simon very friendly. They are very happy to help with sightseeing ideas in the area. There is also a very nice room to sit and read in the evenings. I would caution anyone with walking difficulty that it has a steep drive...

We stayed one night in the upstairs room with the Juliet balcony. Very good space, comfortable bed, awesome view, and great bathroom. There is a wonderful sitting area on the main level for guests to sit and read or just enjoy the view. Excellent hosts and breakfast...however, the place is for sale, so don't know what the future holds.

We stayed in a lovely, comfortable room in the top story of a private residence. Jan and Symon were wonderful hosts and we had a great conversation well into the evening. Breakfast was delicious! This B&B is impeccably clean and the bed incredibly comfortable. We would highly recommend staying here!

We had 48 hrs away from our home in Vancouver and picked this B&B for its location on Cowichan Lake and its top reviews. Symon & Jan were ideal hosts. Their home is lovely, clean, calm, and perfectly accommodated. We loved the views from the upper bedroom. Breakfasts were hearty and beautifully presented. It's clear that Symon & Jan take...

While away on a motorcycle trip around the island we decided to make a last minute stop in Lake Cowichan and with our luck there was a room available at "Away at the Lake". We spent an unplanned night at Jane & Simon's and it was really great. They have a really nice place (we stayed in the downstairs suite with its own private terrace) with a nice view. They are so welcoming with a very British breakfast! The Lake is just across the road and the village's pub (Jake at the lake), where...
