It is a truly genuine Aboriginal center with a beautiful interior architecture and well-chosen decor. Everything in this Lodge we loved: large rooms, custom furniture and upholstery, comfortable beds, high-quality linens, a stunning restaurant with a view of Mosse River, great food, and kind and thoughtful staff. I left my travel bag at the initial train station in Cochrane and...

I think if you go to Moose Factory and the Moosonee area you certainly did your share of travelling, it is definitely not the first choice of anyones vacation. So when you get there, it means you want to do something special. But this whole place is far from it. The 5 hour train ride which I had seen advertised...

I apologize for our part in what sounds like an overall negative experience. I am deeply saddened to hear of our roll in this. We strive to deliver a strong and personable guest experience at the Ecolodge. That we have fallen short, is of great disappointment to us, and we will do better moving forward. October can be a challenging...

Nice hotel in an unbelievable location. Excellent amenities in room, gorgeous view of the river. Service is very laid back with polite staff. This is a great stay but customer expectations may differ from reality given the location! Bear this in mind when you book, things are a tad different than say a major city! Island is wonderful and the...

Thank you, Folks. We enjoyed having you stay with us. You were a wonderful addition to our little Ecolodge family. Your comments were as kind, as they were gracious. I hope we get to see you again. Cheers, Todd

We stayed here one night with our family of four (two adults and two toddlers) in late May. The room accommodations were comfortable and clean with very interesting decor related to the Cree village. The inside of the Hotel has very cool architecture and is both visually appealing and a comfortable place to hang out. The weather happened to be...

Staff were so polite and kind, really nice. The vegetarian supper was excellent (although pricey) Stayed in the Author's room, along the river, (pricey once again, if it had of been a bit cheaper I wold have stayed 3 nights instead of just one) I might suggest a little better maps, and also would love to find out more about...

My son and I stayed at the Cree Village Ecolodge in Moose Factory, Ontario, at the end of an 11-day canoe trip down the Missinaibi and Moose Rivers. It was a great end-of-trip experience. The architecture and décor of the building were beautiful with many features that evoked Cree culture and the natural environment around James Bay. The room and...

We came with zero expectations and were very much blown away. We have stayed in many places across this great country of ours. This will be one of the great stays of our travels. Thanks Cree Village you have truly a world class hotel. Now I'm not delusional at all and realize that this is not even on the same...

Great location with spectacular views of the river. We called ahead and requested a river view room. The sunsets are spectacular. The room was updated, spacious and tastefully decorated. Mattresses, pillows and linens were comfortable. Everything was spotlessly cleaned. The staff are friendly, helpful and always pleasant. The restaurant offers great food. Todd was able to arrange a boat trip...

The service was excellent where the manager personally ensured that everything was in order. We also got a good explanation and description of the area which was greatly appreciated in this remote location. The hotel is modern and rustic where the great outdoors are welcomed in. The natural light makes this place unique with an incredible view of the Moose...
