Tranquility plus! Slept like a rock here, with louvers open, only the sound of the Coqui and the local roosters at dawn. Very near El Yunque, Fajardo, and other east coast towns. Knock your socks off view of the sea, Culebra in the distance. Continental...More
Beautiful surroundings.
Arrived in the evening so couldnt see much outside but lovely hills on the edge of rain forrest. No wifi as described. Our 9 year old ready for a dip in the pool but no chance. Pool was full of floating debris and...More
The rooms are basic, not small, not fancy but clean. The bed was comfortable. You should expect a lot of humidity build up on bed sheets, on futon and on your clothes b/c it’s a tropical area. Coquis are loud at night but consider the...More
We don't do the GPS thing as we prefer to explore on our own and ask directions from locals. On the occasion of locating this inn we stopped at the town police station and got the royal treatment--an officer led us right to the inn...More
Beautiful grounds. Dishonest Manager. Feb. 2016 Cancellation Policy was not honored. Even when I personally went to make my claim for a Refund and reviewed the website pages with Property owner-Manager, I was charged my full stay VS 1 day's Reservation totaling $800+.

I was fully prepared to be swarmed but never saw/heard any and never put on bug stuff, not at the inn, not in the rain forest, not at the beaches. Very pleasantly surprised. As to cars, not a problem. The only place I would have needed a jeep as opposed to a regular rental was on vieques.
The inn is 15 minutes from Roosevelt Roads.

But there are local rentals, and Pedro at the inn can help you with that (he and his staff are great on everything).

I had a tiny rental car (Toyota Picanto or something of the like) and managed to drive up and down the hill to Ceiba Inn without too much difficulty. It is rather dark and the roads are narrow but I agree with the other reviewers, if the taxi driver is familiar with the area it really shouldn't be a problem. You might want to consider renting a car if you can't find a taxi.
